It was currently 7:30 in the morning, and everyone could hear someone banging on a gong. I'm surprised that (Y/N) hasn't heard it yet.
"Master Wu," Kai grumbled. "It's 7:30 in the morning. Can't we sleep in for a little longer?"
"Evil doesn't sleep and neither should you," Master Wu replied. "Besides, I have a little surprise for you all. Meet me in the backyard in 15 minutes."
"Yes, Master Wu," Lloyd murmured.
After the others got ready
After the others got ready, I was left on the couch with (Y/N) on top of me.
"Well," I said to myself. "Time to wake up my sleeping beauty."
"Mm," Y/N murmured.
"Hey, princess," I cooed. "Time to wake up. Master Wu has a surprise for everyone."
"Five more minutes, mom," Y/N mumbled. "It's summer vacation. Leave me alone."
"But you need to wake up, sweetie," I replied, trying to sound like (m/n) again. "You have prom tonight. You don't want to miss it, do you?"
"PROM!" Y/N yelled, moving so fast that it looked like she got whiplash. "Wait a minute...Cole, why? It's too early. Let me go back to bed."
"You do realize that you fell asleep on my chest, right?" I asked.
"Wait, I was?" she asked, quickly plopping back down on top of me.
"OOF!" I cried. "Hey, it's alright. I didn't mind it at all. Now, we should probably get up. I don't wanna make Master Wu mad."
"Alright," Y/N agreed.
After getting ready and meeting everyone else outside
Y/N's POV Once Cole and I made it to the backyard, I saw this huge, elaborate singing contest setup. I couldn't help but wonder if this is Master Wu's big surprise for us all. I even saw my family there.
"Now that everyone is here," Master Wu started. "My big surprise for you all is singing contest. There will be three judges. They are Lou, (m/n), and myself. Each of you will get to choose to either sing a duet or a solo. If you choose a duet, you and your partner must wear matching costumes. Once everyone has finished performing, the judges will decide who wins. The winning performance will have to perform again, but a different song. Am I missing anything?"
"I do not believe so," Lou replied.
"I have brought over a few costumes for those of you who want to perform a duet. Now will everyone please go decide what they will be performing," Mom added, dismissing everyone to go figure out what they're gonna do. Once the Master Wu was done explaining everything, Cole grabbed me by the wrist and started dragging me over to the patio.
"So, what do you wanna do?" Cole asked. "Cause I was thinking that you and I could perform a duet."
"Sure," I replied. "What song do you wanna sing?"
"How about a Rascal Flatts song?" Cole suggested. "I was thinking that we could sing Stand by Rascal Flatts."
"I'd love to sing the song with you," I replied, walking up to him and kissing him on the cheek. That's when I heard a carmera flash. "Please don't tell me that my mom saw me kiss you on the cheek just now."
"Yep," Cole replied. "Wanna tell her now or after the contest?"
"Might as well tell her now," I said. Then I heard my mom walk up to us. "Hey mom. Why are you spying on me again?"
"I was just walking around and writing down what everyone's doing for their performance," Mom replied, trying to act all innocent. "Is that so much to ask?"
"Please don't play dumb with me, Mom," I begged. "I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to get a picture of my first kiss."
"Alright fine," Mom huffed. "I am. I just wanna see my baby girl fall in love."
"Well, sorry to burst your bubble, Mom," I countered. "But I already had my first kiss. It was when you said that I could spend the night with the guys, and it was with Cole, who's also my boyfriend. Anyways, you weren't entirely lying. I can see the clipboard in your hands."
"Oh, right," Mom breathed. "What are you and Cole doing for your performances?"
"We're doing a duet to the song Stand by Rascal Flatts," Cole replied. "And I was thinking that we could have werewolf costumes on."
"FINALLY!" I cheered. "I don't have to worry about hiding my ears and tail from your dad!"
"Heh heh," Cole laughed, bending down to give me a kiss on the lips. I didn't even care if my mom was taking pictures of us right now. "Ya know, you're really cute when you get all excited over something so small. Relax. My dad won't care if you're a real werewolf or not. I know I don't. I love you just the way you are."
"Alright," I said.
"Anyways," Mom interrupted. "Thanks for letting me know. I should go back to the judges table. I'll see you both on stage."
