Gunchucks are completely legal

They played about five more matches, only stopping when they couldn't feel their legs anymore. Reo was thriving, after proving she could serve well she had earned a lot of starting points in the games- and she could tell that Nekoma became extra cautious whenever she was about to serve. Whilst they didn't win any matches, they were all only two points behind in every one- only losing by a small fraction.

Reo found it easy to accept defeat against a player who clearly deserved it, after all- both teams put up a good game. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Hinata who kept demanding more rematches whilst everyone was lying on the floor, panting.

"Don't be so butthurt, dumbass." Kageyama kicked him from where he was lying on the floor as everyone continued trying to desperately regain their energy.

"Okay, let's not use the term 'butthurt', we're not eleven anymore." Daichi spoke, like a true captain.

"You sound bottomtroubled, my friend." Noya mocked,

"He's just a little booty bothered," Reo joined in, laughing next to Noya.

"Someone's having a tushy tantrum." Tanaka shouted from the other side of the room.

"I'm quitting the team." Daichi pinched his nose, exasperated. Nekoma were sat up, looking on amused at the banter between Karasuno's members.

It was mid afternoon, and both teams were outside - Nekoma getting ready to leave. Everyone was surprisingly sociable, each person talking to different members of the opposite team. Reo walked up to stand next to Tsukki, who wasn't interacting with anyone- just watching Hinata and Nekoma's number seven goof around together.

"Wow French Fry, i've never seen someone look so disgusted at the sight of two other people." Reo snickered, bumping his shoulder.

"Do you... understand that?" He asked, gesturing to the hyper pair, although Reo did not, in fact, understand that.

"They sound like a couple of toddlers." Kuroo joined the pair, an amused look on his face- as usual. "But you know," he looked directly over Reos head, directing his speech at Tsukki. "Maybe you should try goofing around a little, instead of acting all stoic."

"That's not one of my strong suits."

Reo looked up from the middle of the two as Tsukki stuck his nose in the air and walked off, probably in the direction of Yamaguchi.

"Those are some pretty solid serves you got going on." Kuroo nodded at her appreciatively, his captain role showing.

"Thank you. You were pretty good with your blocks and spikes too." Reo smiled tightly.

"I know."

She hit him lightly on the arm and tutted at him, causing him to let out a laugh.

"You look just like my Mother when you glare like that."

"Eh?" Reo was taken aback, unsure of how to reply to that. "You're saying I look old?"

"Are you calling my Mother old?"

"No! I just-"

The tall boy laughed at her panic.

Recovering, Reo nodded at Kenma who appeared silently at his friends side. The three delved into conversation much like everyone else.

A few meters away, Tanaka was talking to the boy from Nekoma who looked remarkably similar to him- a buzz cut but with a blonde streak down the middle. They both spoke about Kiyoko with limitless adoration and fondness- a little too enthusiastic.

"Bro?"

"Yeah?" Tanaka asked.

"What's the name of your server? The Little Dragon right? Oh my God she was so cool!" His face lit up as he reminisced. "I saw her before the match but was too stunned to say anything...and i'm pretty sure your setter was trying to scare me away from her."

Tanaka hit his shoulder roughly, with a hint of playfulness and a proud smile. "The Little Dragon! I came up with that, you know?" He boasted smugly, receiving an impressed gasp. "That's Satori Reo. I took her under my wing so everything she knows she probably learnt from me." He boasted through his lie, lapping up the attention.

"She's pretty cool." tanaka suddenly looked the boy in his eyes, his face serious, "But if you ever look at her in any way that's not platonic, I will make sure you lose every one of your future matches."

Daichi was weaving through the two teams, silently monitoring his team, making sure no one was stepping out of line, but keeping a friendly face.

"-Nunchucks are illegal in some states, but guns aren't. So if you tie two guns together and create 'gunchucks' then-" Daichi squinted as he overheard Reo explain to Kuroo and Kenma who were both leaning in intently, interested in whatever she was explaining. The third year swiftly picked Reo up by her arms and spun her away from the two.

"Would you look at the time! Awfully late, we should really get going," Daichi apologised to Kuroo and Kenma who looked on in both confusion and entertainment.

"Aren't we the ones who are leaving?" Kenma thought out loud, softly.

After Nekoma had said goodbye, they departed on their bus back to Tokyo. Reo, Tanaka and Noya all made plans to go to the smoothie shop to hydrate and energise.

It was fun - they sat laughing for about two hours- Reo's stomach ended up hurting by the end just from laughing so much. She really got along with Tanaka and Noya- they made her more energetic and she liked that even though they were a year older, she could still make fun of them. She had ordered a mango smoothie, whilst the two second years ordered berry ones.

They spoke about what they thought of Nekoma, and tomorrow's practice. In no time at all, up came the topic of Miyagi's Inter-High preliminaries. They started in a month, but they have a lot of formidable opponents to face, and Reo quickly realised that Shiratorizawa would probably be one of them. This caused a jolt of excitement within her- she had never played against her brother properly before, and if she won, that means her parents would realise that she does have what it takes to make a good career out of volleyball.

For years, her parents have said that if she fails at volleyball, she is to go to London where she will major in business and work for her fathers' company, but she couldn't think of anything worse.

Reo was snapped out of her thoughts by Noya spluttering his smoothie all over the table after laughing at something Tanaka had said.

"-To conclude, I am a ninja." Tanaka went on to announce.

"No you are not." Said Noya.

"Did you see me do that?"

"Do what?"

"Exactly." Tanaka shrugged smugly.

"You two are something else." She breathed out with a smile as they all stood up, leaving after cleaning up.

They had to go so that they could rest for practice. No doubt it will be strenuous starting from tomorrow considering the preliminaries.
