Dev's POV
***
Not all fairy tales had to end with a 'happily ever after'. True love doesn't come just once, it can happen twice. Wishes don't create reality, no matter how much you wish. I wished Charu would have stayed by my side, and I wished that Charu wouldn't have left me. During the first few days, I felt so hollow and alone. Even when I was selected to captain for the first time, I just couldn't manage to feel happy.
My Fairy Tale Princess had left me, she'd disappeared away, taking my belief of love with her.
I didn't smile properly till I met my beloved Aru. When Charu told me that she was married and children of her own... That little amount of joy that I'd built over the years was washed away in a flood of tears and pain.
Dhristi would never look at me the same way again,
Aru was distrustful of me, watching me.
Aarohi and Ayush would not speak to me like they used to.
My world fell apart, but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Just to see my beloved Charu, one more time...
"She was like a dream," I mumbled to myself, and cradled the notebook I had. "Beautiful while it last's but disappearing without a trace, without a single memory..."
I wrote down my story, to pour out what I felt.
Who said love was painless?
Who said true love always wins?
I, Devdutt Paddikal, beg to disagree.
This was what remains of my beloved Charu, just memories...

That... concludes Diary...
Who said I was going to give it a happy ending? *snort*
