Gusion awoke to find that his lover was not in his arms. He rubbed his eyes and glanced over at the clock.

4:37AM

Where would she even be at this time? There was only one place he could think of.

Gusion slowly got out of bed and headed toward the living room. His new apartment had a wide window from ceiling to floor. It over looked the city and at night it was truly breathtaking. However now the city was dim as no lights were on.

He walked in to the living room to see Lesley sitting on the floor with her arms wrapped around her legs staring through the window. She was lost in thought and hadn't noticed him.

Gusion grabbed the blanket that was left on the couch and walked over to his lover.

He draped it over her shoulders startling her as he joined her on the floor.

"Hey." He whispered his voice still a bit raspy

"Hey." She murmured not taking her eyes off the outside world.

"What's on your mind love?" Gusion wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her into him.

"Nothing much I just want to see the sunrise." She replied flatly

Gusion chuckled "Mind if I join you then?"

Lesley cracked a smile and shook her head. She leaned her head towards him resting it on his shoulder. Then the two lovers sat there waiting for the sunrise.

After a while a familiar orange glow was seen in the horizon. They watched as it bathed the sky in its warm colors.

Soon they fell asleep in each other's embrace.
