Pool Party

Lesley sighed for the nth time. A pen was tapping on her chin as she crossed out yet another candidate on her list. She shifted in her seat and took a sip of her drink as she stared a hole through her notebook.

"What's wrong?" The voice of a certain swan obsessed girl pulled Lesley out of her disappointment.

Lesley lifted her head and met the cerulean eyes of a honey haired maiden. She was wearing a lacy white dress with no sleeves that stopped just before her knees. A beige sun hat with a white ribbon and a long black purse completed her look.

Lesley gave Odette a half hearted smile "Nothing I just can't seem to find any male models to do this upcoming photoshoot. I'm running out of options too."

"That is quite the predicament." Odette said tapping her chin. Her eyes light up as she had an idea "Hey tell you what come to the party Lance is hosting today! I'll introduce you to a few friends of mine." She clapped her hands together as she reveled in the idea of hers.

"I still have to make sure—" Lesley was cut off again Odette butt in.

"Les! Leave that to your assistant! I don't get why you're always insisting on doing everything yourself. You have staff for a reason honey." Odette huffed and rolled her eyes at the workaholic "Sometimes I think you like working yourself to death."

Lesley frowned as she furrowed her brows "I don't...? I just—" Lesley paused realizing her friend had a point.

"See!" Odette exclaimed "You can't even deny it." Letting out a sigh she continued "Come on Les come to the party it'll also be a great way to destress, you have enough on your plate and a little fun is in order."

The magenta hair woman pondered a bit and finally nodded "Alright. I guess it wouldn't hurt to connect with a few others and enjoy myself a bit."

"That's the spirit!" Odette said enthusiastically said

Lesley chuckled and couldn't help thinking how lucky she was to find such a friend. "What kind of party will it be?"

"Oh it's a pool party." Odette's said as she looked noticeably less enthusiastic.

Lesley's eyes widened and she shot a questioning look at her "Will you be alright?"

Odette nodded "Don't worry I'll stay in the shallow part of the pool if I do get in."

"Lesley meet Hanzo Akakage. He works for MCL Entertainment. Hanzo this is Lesley Vance she works for Dawn Company."

"Starlight magizines?" His eyes widen as he recognized the name of my company.

Lesley nodded giving him a small smile "Yes. Pleasure to meet you Mr. Akakage."

Lesley gave him a once over; tall masculine, good looking, a intimidating aura. No not the right one. Still she made a mental note of his name for a another photoshoot she had in mind.

"Pleasure's all mine Miss Vance. In fact my—" He was interrupted by someone calling in their direction.

"Babe?" A woman with raven hair came over to them and swung her arms around Hanzo's neck. Instantly he melted into her and his eyes softened as he met hers.

"Yes my little flower?"

"Where did you go?" The woman asked pouting a little.

"Just introducing myself to Miss Vance over here." He said gesturing to Lesley "I was just telling her about how you loved her magazines."

The raven haired woman turned her attention to Lesley and her eyes lit up "You mean you make Starlight Magazines?!" Lesley could tell from her expression that this lady was a huge fan.
