Annoying

"Hmm a pretty boy this time?" The woman pointed her rifle at me. I had been caught off guard by her while trying to assassinate a little boy.

"I wonder why there's so many people after you little brother." Her comment directed at the blonde boy who was picking himself up and dusting his clothes.

"Sis I can take care of myself..." He whined pouting at his sibling.

"Oh? What about that time where you almost got crushed by falling rocks? Or that time where you were almost killed in your sleep? How about that time where you almost drowned?" The sniper retorted

The boy turned crimson pulled down his hat.

While the siblings were bickering my mana had regenerated a bit. I summoned a dagger at threw it at the unsuspecting sniper. Her reflexes were sharp and she ducked out the way before it could reach her face. I teleported to the dagger and held it to the sniper's neck.

"Sis!" The little boy cried out in panic.

I saw her reach for her grenade so with my other hand I grabbed her other hand and twisted it behind her back making her yelp in pain.

"You shouldn't let down your guard." But before I could do anything a ring of fire surrounded me. I let go of the sniper in surprise as the little boy appeared in front of me and started throwing poker cards?

The cards actually hurt like hell and the ring of fire that was surrounding me started shrinking and it exploded on me effectively knocking me out.

I awoke to two people arguing.

"Sis we should just leave him here."

"Harley you know how I feel leaving someone that isn't part of this mess out like this."

"Sis he tried to kill you too!"

"Harley—"

"No sis leave him. You saw how fast he is. He can handle his own."

So noisy. Why does my arm hurt?

"He's tied up though."

"Sis he—"

"Can you both argue a bit quieter?" I mumbled my head starting to ache as much as my arm did.

"Shut it idiot I'm talking to my sister." a shrill annoying voice belonging to a child snapped.

I opened my eyes and was met with a midget glaring at me and a magenta haired lady pressing her gloved hands at her temples with her eyes closed. She put her hands down and sighed opening her eyes or eye in her case. Maybe she would be less annoying than her brother.

She walked toward me and bent down to my level. "Who sent you?"

"I can't tell you that beautiful." I said winking. Maybe I can flirt my way out of this.

She raised a brow "Don't think you can flirt your way out of this."

I internally groaned "But what about your comment earlier? You called a pretty boy so must not be that immune to my charms."

"My my you're quite confident in your looks are you? I can tell that you're use to having girls fall for you at first glance. What a spoiled baby." She shot back.

Annoyance swept through me as I took in her words. I take it back she's just as annoying. I clicked my tongue and turned away.

"See sis! He isn't even grateful we didn't just let him get mauled by a bear."

"I don't see any bears around here." I scoffed

"Well that's where you're wrong you actually were almost mauled by a bear." The magenta haired lady said as she pointed to my left arm.

I turned my attention to my arm and sure enough there was bandages wrapping around it but I could still see some red poking out. I turned my attention back to the lady shock still evident on my face.

The magenta haired lady nodded whilst her blonde brother scowled and rolled his eyes at me.

"This probably wouldn't have happened if you didn't knock me out and tied me up." I muttered under my breath

"And this wouldn't have happened if you didn't accept that job request." The blonde boy shot back.

This only made me more annoyed "Do you have to deal with this everyday?" I asked his sister.

"Unfortunately." She lightly chuckled

"Sis!" Annoying #1 shouted and glared at his sister

"Little brobro." She said mimicking the tone of her brother.

"Ugh I hate you!"

"Can I be untied now?" I asked for the 65th time.

"Sis I told you this was a bad idea... he's so annoying." Annoying #1 complained

"Harley stop complaining or no dinner for you tonight." Annoying #2 replied

I couldn't be bothered to remember their names and their bickering was annoying so I had just referred to them as Annoying #1 and Annoying #2.

Annoying #2 glanced up to the sky and her expression dropped. "The sun's setting." She murmured to herself

"It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Can you untie me now?" I retorted

She gave me a look of annoyance "Will you ever shut up?"

"Nope"

"Sis lets gag him"

"God why didn't I think of that." Annoying #2 sighed as her hand flew to her head

"I'm a genius after all." Annoying #1 boasted giving me a smug look.

"Don't let that get to your head." Annoying #2 said crossing her arms.

"Wait you aren't actually gonna gag me right?" I said nervously I wanted to be able to shout for help if needed to get away from these two. Even if it would hurt my pride.

"No but if you keep that up I might actually." Annoying #2 said shaking her head

I sighed a breath of relief knowing my backup plan was safe.

"Let's set up camp here." Annoying #2 said

This was going to be a long night.
