Lovely Night

"Lovely night isn't it?" I said sensing a presence behind me.

There was no response.

I turned my head around and met a pair of piercing blue eyes. He was leaning on a wall arms crossed and relaxed. Something that I didn't see everyday.

"What are you doing over there? Come join me." I said giving him a light smile.

He unfolded his arms and walked over. Instead of joining me on the railing he pulled me off and set me down.

I frowned "Seriously?"

"It's dangerous." was his simple reply

We stood there in silence taking in the evening air.

"How was the mission?" I asked speaking up.

He gave me a light hum as a reply. That honestly annoyed me to no end but I ignored it.

"It's a lovely night." He murmured

His gaze met mine and before I knew it our lips had touched.

The moment didn't last however. I blinked and he had vanished into the night. I stood there shocked at what had just happened as my cheeks warmed up.

"Goodnight."
