Tuesday.
I walked down the hallway with Haru to my locker.I opened it up leaving a creek noise. "Jeez! Do you ever have any aesthetic sense into your stuff? This place is a mess. Here have some stickers to decorate." Haru exclaimed and pointed at me.
"Well, sorry it upset you that much?" I jokingly said. We laughed together. He started braiding my hair, making fun of how it was so messy.
"Oh my! You guys are TOGETHER? Uh, ew!" Poppy exclaimed. "I'm gay, everyone knows that." Haru said.
Everyone crowded around and recorded. "Even if he weren't you shouldn't go up to people assuming stuff. You literally are in uniform of the Student Council team." I said angrily.
Everyone laughed at Poppy and sided me.
"Ugh! Whatever, this is not the end. This is just the beginning." Poppy ran off.
Someone posted the recording, I'd say it was seen by half of the school. The next thing I knew I was called to the Student Council Room during lunch.
"I called you both here. For a talk. Avery you're good. But Poppy, I need a GENUINE answer of why you accused Avery and Haru being together. Don't you know being in the student council team needs commitment. You are obviously not committed to following the disciplinary rules here. I expected better. " Mrs Manika looked at Poppy, her fist clenched.
" I d-didn't! It's a rumour. I wouldn't do such a thing. You know me, I don't do silly things. Why would I want to hurt the new girl? " Poppy said, putting on a fake frown."Then explain this." Mrs Manika showed the clip of her bullying Avery.
"W-well! You won't know if they're together or not and plus! S-she was harassing me." "Why obviously you are making up excuses! Poppy Kerimio. You are permanently KICKED OFF the student Council team. We definitely need more people like Avery to stand up against others. Avery, welcome to the Student Council Team. I thought I might give you a try. " Mrs Nanika said.
" In addition, a week of suspension. " Mrs Manika shouted as Poppy walked out of the room.
" Mrs Manika, why did you accept me into the team? It's only the 2nd day that I have been in this school. And I'm just a 2nd year student this year." I mumbled.
"Silly! It doesnt matter how long you have experienced being in this school. It's about your character." Mrs Manika comforted me and praised me.
