I now have a roommate.

Who is of the opposite gender.

Who seems to be like Claude, not mature or responsible at all.

Wonderful.

Just sarcastically wonderful.

Hopefully, she will not be asking for money, those gold diggers and female admirers are such a nuisance. Unfortunately, being from an extremely influential family, they are unavoidable.

"Felix right?"

"Yes. What is it Miss Dupain-Cheng?"

"Have a goodnight. I can tell by your facial expression that you don't want to deal with me at today. I'll see you in the morning." Well, I was not expecting that. "Have a goodnight." Once I leave, shutting the door behind me, Plagg comes out, a smirk on his little black face.

"What was that kid? You seem confused about the girl." I feel my face turn warm in irritation at my kwami. "Honestly Plagg, there is nothing, I was just surprised that she didn't want anything and be also able to read my expression."

"Maybe you are going soft kid." I sigh, closing the file of the merger I was working on, change into sleepwear, and sleep listening to the sounds of my new neighbor working. I can hear her faintly talking and moving things around. The last thing I remember hearing is the faint whirring of a sewing machine as I drift off into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning...

Waking up, the first being I register is Plagg, sticking himself right in my face.

"Wake up kid! I'm hungry!" I groan, sitting up, Plagg, sitting on my shoulder as he normally does in the morning. I quickly hand cheese to the black cat, who flies off with it to the corner, and change into a suit with a black tie and gray button up shirt. I go to brush my hair back in the restroom to find Miss Dupain-Cheng there already in a simple white blouse with a black suit jacket, pale pink skirt, and white flats that lace together at her ankles by a pale pink ribbon which surprised me. I wasn't expecting her to have any appropriate formal attire. She's messing with her indigo hair when she turns to me.

"What is it? I didn't know what the dress code was besides the overall idea Mrs. Allard gave me so I kind improvised." I quickly turn away. "I was just startled, I didn't realize you had formal clothing like a suit for example." She looks down at her outfit and laughs. Her laughter reminds me of Mother, but I push the thought away. It causes pain.

"I didn't, but I had a few ideas so I made it last night with remnant suit fabric I had packed for something like this." My eyes widen. "You made that all last night?" She nods, turning back to the mirror, beginning to brush out her hair and putting it into a ponytail, keeping her bangs showing. After placing a in of a cherry blossom to hide the tie she used, I look away. I shouldn't be watching her this much. I quickly fix myself up and turn to her. "This way Miss Dupain-Cheng." I grab my briefcase, Miss Dupain-Cheng grabbing a small purse, and I lead her out of our dormitory and through the halls to the dining hall. "Here is the dining hall. You may get your breakfast now." She nods, and heads to the buffet, taking a plate and filling it.

I fill my own with an omelet, sausage, and a croissant, then going to sit in an empty table. While eating, I let my mind wander, reading the merger files to double check my work.

"Felix? Can I ask you something man?" I look up to see Claude, who's in a pale blue button up shirt, navy tie, and navy suit pants giving me a sheepish smile. I roll my eyes. "What is it?"

"When are we giving the presentation to propose to the tech sage crew to work with us for this new line?" I sigh, irritated. "We went through this yesterday, we are proposing the the tech students in two days time." He points over to another table.

"Awesome, also, whose the new girl? I didn't know you had a roommate." I glance over to where he is indicating to find Allegra, a fellow student who is in the business/fashion industry, talking to Miss Dupain-Cheng, who is smiling and talking. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, she is a new student in the fashion industry. I will be performing her entrance exam to see where she stands."

"Gotcha, just curious, anyway, I'm going to give off a little student newbie initiation. See ya!" I grimace, he tried that with Allegra her first day during the previous semester, which ended up with him having a broken nose. We all learned that day to never mess with Allegra unless we wanted to be wounded. Although, I am curious at Miss Dupain-Cheng's reaction to the childish prank. I can tell she notices the plan Claude has for her and promptly takes the can, pretending to open it, then tossing the plastic cockroaches back at Claude's face. Allegra, from what I can observe, is stifling laughter.

For a baker's daughter, Miss Dupain-Cheng is quite the clever observer.

I will have to keep my eye on her.

There is some familiarity I cannot quite place that surrounds her.

I want to know what.
