Chapter 1: First Day

Chapter 1 "First Day"

Riley's POV

I'm so excited!! It's my first day at my new school and I'm riding my scooter going there.... Hello! I'm Riley Newman new transfer student from Australia. It's been a month since me and parents transferred here in L.A. This is the start of my new life here and I'll be attending Klifford University for the rest of my high school life. Also I'm happy because my childhood best friend is studying here as well. He and his family moved here 7 years ago, but we still keep in touch while I was still in Australia but the last we talk was 2 years ago when he started high school he was too busy. I wonder how he is right now I can't wait to surprise him. *Smiling while riding her scooter going to school*

~Flashback~

"Promise you won't forget me, okay?" Riley.

"I will never forget my best friend" Austin.

 "Promise?" Riley.

 "Promise" Austin.

Austin hugs her so tight, and went inside the airport. Riley was waving goodbye

~End of flashback~

I entered the school and went to the dean's office.

"We are pleased to have you in our school Ms. Newman, I hope that you will enjoy and have fun" The Dean said smiling at me

"Thank you" I said looking excited and shake the dean's hand and left

I was walking by the hallway, it's a big school I went straight to my classroom and there I finally saw my best friend.

"Austin?"

He looked at my direction and he was shock.

"Riley? Is it really you?" Austin aska standing up.

"Yeah It's me" I walk towards him

"I can't believe it. How? When did you transfer?" Austin continuosly asks.

"A month ago. I wanted to surprise you, Surprise!" I let out a  jazz hand.

"Well it worked" Austin said and hugs me.

"I miss my best friend* I hug him back.

"I miss you too." Austin.

I break the hug.

"Looks like we're in the same class. Yay!" I said excitedly.

"Yup. Still the same childish Riley." Austinsaid chuckling.

"I'm not. I've grown up I don't cry a lot anymore." I pouted.

We sat down next to eachother.

"Really?" He asks smiling at me

"Yes." I said smiling back at him.

"So how long are you going stay here?" Austin ask.

"Until I graduate high school I think, I don't know if I'm staying until college." 

"Oh, I see" Austin.

We talk until the teacher came in. Like normal first day of classes its all about introduction and short lectures. Until the bell rang.

"Let's go to the cafeteria?"Austin ask me.

"Okay" Riley.

*At the cafeteria*

"The food here is amazing" I complimented while putting food in my mouth one after another.

"Your appetite for food is still the same as always" Austin said to me smiling and laughs a little.

"What do you mean?" I ask him looking confuse.

"Look at your food, you ordered pasta, a slice of pizza, salad, Ice cream and a large iced tea" Austin said laughing.

"Shut up." I said and  hit his arm

"Ouch! That hurt" Austin said holding his arm.

"Bleh."

Austin just laughs. After eating we both walk back to  t he classroom. Until someone hit me by the shoulder hard and I fell sitting down.

"Ouch!" That hurts

"Riley are you okay?" Austin ask me while helping me stand up.

I looked at Austin "Yeah I'm okay"

"Are you sure? That fall was pretty hard" He asks me looking worried.

"Don't worry I'm fine" A little hurt but fine. Who hit me anyway?

"Watch where you're going." The guy said to me.

What did he just say? So it's my fault? "You're the one who hit me" I told him looking irritated.

"It's because you weren't looking to where you're going." He said.

You're the one who's running and hit me."So it's my fault?" I asks pointing at myself.

"Obviously" He said and smirks.

"You're the one who was running in the hallway. So it you're fault how about you apologies for hitting me" 

"My fault? Apologies? Me to you? What? You want me to apologies?" He asks pointing himself.

"Yes" 

"And If I won't? What are you going to do?" He said smiling at me.

Looks like he won't apologies, so there's no point in talking here. He looks like mean guy anyway but from close up he looks kinda cute. So I just sighed. "If you won't say you're sorry fine let's go Austin looks like I'm wasting my time here" I said and grabs Austin and walk away

"Hey! Don't turn your back on me?" He shouted.

Why is he shouting, I turn my back to face him."If you won't apologies what's the point of talking" Riley. I turn my head and walk way pulling Austin.

Dylan's POV

I just smirk and watch her walk away

"Dude, I can't believe you just let her go like that. What are you going to do?" Max said holding my shoulder.

"She was a tough girl and it looks like she's new here and doesn't know who I am. I plan my revenge on her" I smirked. 

No one dares to go against me or turn their back's on me, I'll make that girl cry for embarrassing me.

"Just take it easy Dylan, she's a girl after all" Max is not as mean as me but he is my best friend. I feel bad for that girl, she better watch her back.

"Max you know me, I won't hurt her.... Maybe!" I said smiled.

Max just smiled and we walk away the other direction
