—5 years later—
Remington's POV:
"Venus, I need some help with the groceries! Get your ass in here," I yelled.
Venus is my best friend. She is absolutely beautiful. She has medium length brown hair, brownish-green eyes, pink full lips, and the cutest nose! She's always hated her nose but I think it is adorable. She is kind, caring, generous, funny and so many more. I could list her amazing traits for hours.
We met at the supermarket in Queens 5 years ago. It was the day after I arrived at New York I needed some food for my new apartment. We exchanged numbers and automatically hit it off. We have so much in common. We moved in together 3 months later.
"I'm coming hoe. Calm your ass down. God damn," Venus replied.
I put the groceries on the countertop in the kitchen and started taking the supplies out. Venus hopped up on the barstool in front of me and started talking about her new fling at work.
Venus is the only person who knows about my past and what happened. She supports me and helps me on the bad days. She is always there and I could have not asked for a better friend. She can read me like a book.
"He is so cute Remi. He has the prettiest green eyes."
"What happened to Luke?," I asked.
Venus was one of those girls who never liked keeping a relationship for long. She mainly likes sleeping around.
"He wasn't interesting anymore."
"Why not?"
"He's not that good in bed, honestly."
"Oh dear god. Sweetheart, he was so nice and treated you well," I commented.
"I know but a woman has needs Remi. I have to be satisfied!"
I chuckled and shook my head at her.
Don't get me wrong, Venus is the best person you can have to be apart of your life but she's insane. She is on-and-off with guys all the time. She's the biggest hoe I know.
"I have to leave for work Remi. Do you want me to bring dinner home? I won't be back until 8 tonight," she said.
"Yes, that sounds good! I don't really feel like cooking tonight," I replied.
"Alright, no problem! See you when I get back. Love you." my best friend said right before she closed the door.

I finished putting away the groceries and got a glass of red wine and sat down on the couch. I got the remote and turned on the T.V. I turned on Lucifer. Venus is the one who got me addicted to this show. It's honestly amazing.
I finished my wine and started feeling sleepy. I have work tomorrow. I work at a veterinary clinic. I enjoy it a lot. I love being around animals.
I cuddled up on the couch with my fluffy blanket and I began to felt my eyes get heavy. I heard the door eventually open right before my dreams consumed me.
