Remington's POV:
There is only a week left until the show. I am so nervous but excited at the same time. Adira and I have been working so hard the past few months with everything."Remi, the fashion show is in 7 days. I have to go early to prepare for some things. You wanna come with?"
"Yes. When are you leaving?"
"2 hours."
I gasped. "I don't have 2 hours to pack. Adira."
She started laughing and had a small smirk on her face. "You better start packing then."
I took off running to my apartment. I made it inside and took out 2 suitcases. I packed some dresses, tshirts, leggings, hoodies, pajamas, and some undergarments in one suitcase. I grabbed my makeup bag and hair tools, jewelry pouch, and shoes. I tossed them all inside the other suitcase.
I grabbed my backpack and put my charger, a small med-kit, my Kindle, and laptop all inside it. When i looked at the time I had 15 minutes left to meet Adira. I grabbed my stuff and left. I took the elevator down and found Adira talking to her assistant Natalie.
She saw me and waved a man over and he took my bags. I mumbled a quiet thankyou and Adira walked over to me.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Alright lets go."
She took off walking to the doors and I followed. There was a sleek, black Mercedes waiting up front. A man was standing there holding a door open. Adira walked up and slipped inside and he closed the door. I followed him to the other side and he did the same and I mumbled a quiet thankyou and he nodded.
The driver started the car and we were off. I looked out the window and watched everything move by. I was so nervous but excited as well. I have worked hard for this and want to make my mother proud.
We drove for 2 hours and Adira and I talked about what was going to happen and everything during the drive. We pulled up to an air strip and I opened the door and got out. I looked up and there was a beautiful black jet in front of me. There was a man wearing an orange vest, 2 pilots, and a flight attendant all talking together.
Adira walked up to them and they immediately straightened up and addressed her politely. She talked with them for a minute and walked back to me and told me to come on. We walked towards the jet and a door folded down and revealed white marble stairs. I walked up behind Adira.
We got inside and I was automatically stunned by everything. It was huge. Everything was white with gold accents. There are some couches and chairs all around and some tables. There is a tv on the farthest wall.
"Sit down and buckle up. When we are in the air you can explore and look around," Adira said whilst taking a seat in a chair. I sat down across from her a latched my belt.
The flight attendant came in a few minutes later and told us we would be taking off soon. Adira only nodded and continued reading her magazine. I grabbed my kindle and pulled up a book to read.
In 15 minutes or so the flight attendant came back and told us we were taking flight. The plane started moving and I gripped the arm rests until my knuckles turned white. I haven't been on a plane since mom died. In a few seconds I felt the plane pull up and squeezed my eyes tight and rested my head against the headrest. We were leveled out in a few minutes.
The flight attendant came back and told us we could unbuckle our safety belts. I ended up falling asleep a few minutes later.
I woke up to someone shaking me and calling my name. I jerked up and grabbed the persons wrist tight. I looked up and noticed it was Adira. I quickly let go and mumbled and apology to her.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes I'm fine. Are we there yet?"
"Yes. We just landed."
She looked like she wanted to ask more but decided against it. I put my kindle back in my bag and stood up. The stairs opened and we walked down them and an SUV was waiting for us. We climbed inside and took off. The view was absolutely beautiful here. We pulled up infront of a hotel building 30 minutes later. It was beautiful and ancient looking.
We hopped out and I followed Adira to the doors. They were the spinning doors too. After 10 minutes, we got our room key and made it to our room.
It was so pretty inside. There is a living room, kitchen, and a hallway that I'm guessing is leading to the bedrooms.
"Go pick a room Remi. I have to make a phone call," Adira told me.
I nodded and made my way down the hall. I picked the smallest room because she was paying and it didn't feel right to take the master. My room was lavender themed with a closet and a full bathroom that was crystal. It was gorgeous.
About and hour later, everything of my clothes was stored into the closet and I was resting on my bed. I opened safari and searched up some hair stylists near me. I found one. I called and asked if they had any walk ins and they said yes. I grabbed my wallet and slipped my room key inside. I put my sneakers on and went outside my room. Adira was standing by a mini bar holding a glass of red wine.
"I'm going to go explore if that's okay?"
She turned around and nodded. "Do you need a
ride?""No. I think I'm going to walk." I smiled at her and walked towards the door.
"Be safe Remington."
"I will. See you later."
I walked for 20 minutes and made it in front of the salon. It was a pretty yellow building with white lacey trim. I walked inside and was greeted with a floral smell.
"Hi."
I looked over a noticed a younger girl with pretty pink hair. "Hello. I have an appointment for Remi."
"Yes. Come on back."
"Do you have an idea of what you want to do?"
"What about blonde?"
"Ooh. Yes that is a perfect choice."
"Do you think I can get a few inches taken off too?"
"Mhmm."
She left and came back with an apron and put it around me. She got started. She cut and started with the foils and dye next. She set a timer for 30 minutes and when it was up she took me over to the sink to wash. She blow dried and curled it next. It's been quit a few hours.
She turned me around and I was stunned. It was so pretty and soft. I ran my hand through it and smiled.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes. I love it. Thankyou."
She smiled and took me to the counter and I paid. I left and continued walking down the street towards the hotel when I got a call.
