My face must've remained glum, yet confused as I stumbled into my dorm in the worker's place. As Odette immediately picked up my unusual saddened emotion.

She was sat on the bed, cross-legged, and planning what looked like a meal charter for the food that she had to cook for the manor.

"What's wrong, Riah? You normally come back from your maid duties... satisfied." Asked Oddie, eyeing me down to depict my not so open body language.

At first, I restrained from saying anything at all.

I felt somewhat of indistinct betrayal from Riddle. The way he presented himself on the outside seemed to be immaculate, not a harmful flaw traceable.

I know that not everybody is as they seem at first, but they were normally little polished lies.

But this, this is more like a studied art of deception. An activity I feel as though Tom has now found his own approval of. That he thinks it's acceptable.

The betrayal I was enduring was not only for him, it was for me as well.

I was a traitor to myself. That I let myself be utterly engrossed by a stranger. A stranger whose exuding mystery dominated me entirely.

I thought I knew him. I thought we had developed something. It wasn't much, it didn't have to be, I just wanted him.

And the product was that I still didn't truly know him.

He had returned to just a stranger.

"Well..." I began, and Oddie sprung from the bed. Devouring me in one of her comforting hugs before I could even finish.

"What's wrong, Riah, I'm here."

Resting my head on her shoulder, I confessed. "Something very bad happened." My voice was quiet, abnormally unconfident

"What is it?" She queried, gently rubbing my back.

I signed into her shoulder, "Tom is not who we thought he was."

I felt as if though I wanted to cry.

Crying. Weak. Pathetic.

That's how I saw it.

Especially if it was a man, a man who turned out to be someone I didn't honestly know.

"Oh no, what happened?"

I released from our hold on each other to pull her over to the mattress so that I could explain.

"Originally, I went to look for room 78 like I said I would. Uh... I found it." I paused to see Oddies reaction of happiness for me.
