TW: Cursing, mention of suicide
It was the mark of the third week, the two of you had grown close! You continued to teach him about what you did on the farm, like how you dyed the wool and cotton you used for yarn and taught him how to do the laundry. Though it didn't last long after you mentioned it's been three weeks already, Tommy seemed worried, he said he needed to go back to his old campsite otherwise Dream might start a manhunt to go after him. You understood and started to pack a bag for him to take with him back to the campsite, he had asked you not to come with since he seemed to be worried for your wellbeing. You packed him a bag, it consisted of some jams, dried fish and fruit, bread, and a few knitted sweaters you made for him, they were all red, white, or (f/c), plus a tag on the neck like the first one you made him, and a key to your cottage. You gave him the packed bag and smiled, you where a bit sad that he would have to go,
"Come visit me anytime dear, my house is always open to you!" You gave a bright smile as you spoke with him. Tommy felt reluctant to leave, he felt so safe in your home, and he didn't want to go back to exile, but he didn't want Dream to somehow find you, since he was violent.
"I will mum, thank you for everything." He spoke, Elizabeth meowed at your feet, wanting to be picked up, it seemed she wanted to say her goodbye to him as well, you picked her up,
"Alright Elizabeth, since you want to act older than me." You giggled a bit as you saw her lick Tommy's hand and meowed, Tommy petted her head and walked down the steps of your cottage, soon leaving the perimeter of the farm though the front gate. Tommy seemed sad as he looked back multiple times to look back at the closest thing he could call home. Tommy soon disappeared into the dark oak forest that surrounded your farm and home.
----
Tommy reached the shore, where he was exiled to, it seemed like everything was still the way he left it, the place was ruined. The campfire was nothing but charred sticks, the ground was all muddy and it wasn't in good condition at all. The tower he had built was still standing.
"Tommy?" Tommy looked shocked as he turned around to see a familiar porcelain mask and green hoodie,
"Dream." He replied coldly as he backed up away from him, he didn't have any weapons on him at all, not like he had one in the first place. Dream looked confused, he thought Tommy had died, or committed suicide, he was looking for his body the entire time he had been with you on your farm.
"Where were you Tommy? Everyone thinks you died." Tommy froze up at Dream's statement, he was angry, and confused, how did people think he had died?
"I'm not telling you where I was, you bastard!" He spat as he backed up a little more to attempt to make a run for the forest, Dream noticed this and ran towards Tommy, soon tackling him and throwing his bag to the side, a crack of glass was heard as it landed on a rock. Dream looked at the bag as Tommy struggled to get free from his hold,
"Where did you get the bag? I don't remember seeing you with a bag last time." Dream spoke as he went and restrained Tommy with a rope he kept handy, he wrapped it around the teen's wrists and ankles. Dream inspected the bag and found all the items inside that you had packed, along with one of the jam jars broken. The jam covered everything in the bag, dirtying the sweaters and covering the food and the key.
"Dream you bitch put my bag down!" Tommy yelled as he tried to untie the rope. Dream didn't do anything and asked again,
"Where did you get the bag Tommy?" His voice was threatening as he walked over and crouched in front of him. Tommy looked at his with scared eyes, he didn't want to say anything about staying with you, or that you even existed,
"I made it by myself in the woods." He tried to cover up how he got it,
"You can't even knit Tommy, how did you get these?" He took out the turtleneck you had made him as a gift, the wool was stained with the red jam, Dream looked at it suspiciously, he knew someone had to have taken him in, Tommy wasn't that smart to learn how to knit and how to make jam in such a short amount of time, especially without help. Tommy looked towards the forest where your house was located, Dream looked to where Tommy was facing and chuckled darkly,
"You gave away where this person is located, hm?" Dream laughed as he left the bag next to Tommy's head, "What should I do with your friend? Should I kill them? Or perhaps put them on trial for helping someone who was supposed to be in exile?" Dream took out his sword and cut through the restraints on Tommy's ankles, he forced Tommy to stand up, "You're going to take me to them, otherwise it'll end up worse for you and your friend." Dream threatened, he picked up the bag and swung it around his right shoulder. Tommy had to comply, otherwise you would have it worse. The two of them slowly made their way to your home, Tommy going the longest route he could make up to stall for time.
It was night, and the area around them would be infested with mobs soon, so the two of them had to make camp halfway to your place.
"Tommy, why are you so adamant about keeping me away from where we're going?" Dream asked as he set up camp, he wouldn't be sleeping, but he wanted to make sure the two of them would be alright. Tommy looked away as he sat next to a tree, he didn't want to share anything about it. Dream frowned, though you couldn't see it because of his mask, he let out a long sigh,
"I'll give you back your CAT disk if you tell me." Dream's offer was tempting, but Tommy shook his head furiously, he didn't say one word. Dream was annoyed, but he couldn't just magically force the words out of his mouth, so he just waited until Tommy eventually fell asleep. Dream Looked through the bag that was with him, he found the key and looked at it in interest, 'Did this kid really find a house?' he thought as he found the rest of the sweaters, there were five in total, including the one Tommy was currently wearing. 'This kid really found someone who knits? Did he find someone's grandma?' Dream was surprised, he doesn't know anyone who knits. He spent the entire night trying to find out who he had stayed with, but nothing rang a bell.
The sun rose and the two of them made their way to your house. Dream stood there near the gate of your main gate, and opened it, only to find you doing the laundry.
