Maddy's POV

I choked on my own breath.

"You're actually going out with Calum?!" I stared at Carolyn wide-eyed while screaming in her face.

"Ummm..." She lowered her eyes to the ground. "He doesn't know it's a date.."

"What?" Liam joined in on the conversation.

"I asked him to help me study, and he said he would drive me back to his apartment," Carolyn picked at her nails, avoiding our eyes.

I started laughing, and she elbowed me before storming off. She didn't make it far before she tripped on her high heels and fell to the ground. Liam rushed over to help her up, and I slowly followed trying to control my laughter.

"So that's why you dressed up?" I asked after I managed to stifle my laughter.

"Fuck off," Carolyn glared at me and stormed off again, tripping a couple times.

I giggled before dragging Liam to a small bench. We sat down and watched Carolyn sit on the curb, attempting to fix her dress and hair. I saw Ashton's car pull up, and both Calum and Ashton got out of the car to greet Carolyn. Even from far away I could detect Carolyn's disappointment, and I dragged Liam off in the opposite direction so I didn't have to watch her sad love story anymore. We walked silently hand in hand to the subway, and I dozed off on his shoulder during the ride. We walked into Louis' apartment discussing our classes and professors, but stopped when we saw Louis standing in the kitchen completely naked with a bowl of ice cream in his hand.

"Hello, friends," Louis grinned and Liam covered my eyes with his hand.

"What the fuck, Louis?" Liam exclaimed.

"One sec," Liam uncovered my eyes once Louis returned with a pair of boxers on.

"Anyways," Louis set his ice cream bowl down on the counter before explaining himself. "So I was driving hot dude from first period around the city in my new ride right? And we're talking about life and he goes, 'Hey Lou do you think we could stop by my girlfriend's place so I can show her the car?' And then I actually pushed him out after I stopped the car in the middle of the street. I almost got arrested," he smiled after finishing his story. "So I've decided that I don't need a man and that I'm going to be more free with my life choices. I signed up for a yoga class and I signed you up for it too, Liam. Have you ever thought of becoming Amish? Or maybe we could move to Australia.." Louis kept mumbling to himself as he left the kitchen, dropping his boxers behind him.

I laughed while Liam groaned and rolled his eyes next to me.

"Do you want some dinner?" Liam asked and I nodded as he turned to walk towards the fridge.

"Louis!" As soon as Liam opened the fridge door, he screamed Louis' name.

I walked over to stand next to Liam and choked on my laughter. The only thing left in the fridge were stacks and rows of water bottles filled with a green liquid.

"Oh right, that," Louis poked his head out from around Liam's shoulder. "I'm doing a monthly cleanse where I only drink water mixed with lime juice. I thought you might wanna try it to," Louis smiled innocently as he pulled a bottle out of the fridge and left.

He was still naked.

"Ok well Maddy and I are going out for dinner," Liam grabbed my hand and led me to the door.

"Use protection!" Louis' voice escaped through the doorway seconds before Liam slammed the door to the apartment.

He sighed and rolled his eyes, and we walked hand in hand to the elevator.

"So where are we going?" I turned to look at Liam.

"I was thinking that place where - oh shit nevermind that bitch that poured pasta on you works there," Liam tried to hide his grin at the memory, and I swatted at him when he laughed.

"It's ok, the food looked really good, but I thought we got banned?" We walked out of the apartment building and onto the noisy sidewalk.

"My sister is dating with the owner's son, so she got us back in. Are you sure you wanna go?"

"Yeah I'll be fine, let's do it."

Liam called a cab over to us and told the driver the address of the restaurant. He opened the door for me when we arrived, and we walked quietly into the building. A nice hostess led us to seats in the back corner of the room, and we didn't see Ellie anywhere. We ate a nice and quiet dinner, talking about life and also flirting quite a bit. We walked out holding hands, but Liam had to pull away because his phone was ringing.

"Hello?" He flinched when the person on the other line spoke, and I thought I could hear Louis yelling.

"Where are you, Lou?" Liam spoke loudly through the phone.

"You are so fucking annoying, I'll be there in ten minutes," Liam rolled his eyes and then hung up.

He looked at me apologetically and said, "Louis' gotten himself arrested at some club so I have to go over there but I'll call you a cab."

"It's alright, I got it," I laughed slightly imagining a drunken Louis in handcuffs.

Before I could turn to walk away, Liam held both my hands and looked into my eyes.

"I had a great time tonight," he smiled.

"Me too," I grinned back at him.

He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. They were soft and warm and faintly tasted like mint. He pulled away and I blushed. He hugged me before quickly walking off in the other direction. I took a cab back to my apartment, and quietly opened the door in case Carolyn was asleep. When I went inside, I heard Dean talking on the TV. I walked into the living room to join Carolyn on the couch, but saw she wasn't alone. She jumped off the couch, staring at me mortified. A shirtless brunette boy with messy hair was laying on the couch, staring wide-eyed at me in embarrassment.

"Ashton?"

guys sorry i took like 288483 years to update I was just really busy with school and softball but ill try to update faster next time and i didn't edit this one very much because i wanted to publish it quickly and its late and i know it's really short but i hope you guys enjoy it
