Chapter 17

a/n: heyyyyyy i haven't updated in months i know im sorry i actually deleted the wattpad app for a while to focus on other things but since it's summer i guess ill come back and write again and i know i really hate it when writers just never finish their stories without warning so im really sorry for kind of just ditching this but here's a new chapter :)

Maddy's POV:

I was extremely surprised to see Carolyn with somebody who wasn't Calum, because I was one hundred percent sure they were going to end up married and live happily ever after. But apparently not.

"Uhhh," Ashton sat up awkwardly and started fixing his hair.

"Where's Calum?" I asked.

"Uhhhh," Carolyn and Ashton speak at the same time while Carolyn joins him on the couch.

I turn off the TV and stare at them while tapping my foot impatiently, mostly because I was eager for an explanation. Both Carolyn and Ashton's eyes drifted to the stairs, and I rushed upstairs even though they were protesting. I stalked down the hallway and basically kicked down Calum's door. I was kind of mad that Carolyn and Calum hadn't hooked up because that meant I owed Liam $40 over a bet we made. As soon as I saw what my naked brother was doing with two other girls in the room, I immediately slammed the door and stomped back down the stairs. I didn't stop to say goodbye to Carolyn or Ashton, but I heard their laughter when I walked past them to get to the front door. After I closed the door behind me and took a deep breath, trying to erase the events of the past fifteen minutes from my mind, I called Liam.

"Hey, Maddy," I could feel Liam smiling through the phone when he answered.

"Hey, can I come over? My apartment is currently being used as a brothel, and I need somewhere to sleep where I won't hear my brother having a threesome right down the hall."

"Uhh..sure, but Louis and I are currently being driven to a police station in Queens so we probably won't be home for a while," Liam said while I heard Louis screaming in the background. "You have a key right?"

"Yeah, I think so," I fumbled through my bag until I found the penis keychain Louis gave me with a key to his apartment attached. "I guess I'll see you guys later, tell Louis I said thanks for letting me stay over."

"Sure thing," Liam answered. "Bye."

I hung up and waited for the elevator to reach the bottom floor. I stepped into the lobby and then outside into the freezing cold.

"What the fuck?" I muttered under my breath.

I took the subway to Louis' apartment, which was actually a huge mistake because I almost got jumped on several occasions. I didn't remember his room number, so I argued with the front desk lady about client confidentiality until I showed her the room key attached to the penis chain and she told me the information. I was shivering by the time I made it to his room, and I slammed the door after I got inside the apartment.

"Lou?" Harry's voice called from upstairs.

Shiiiiiiiiiiit.

I didn't say anything, which was obviously a stupid decision, and as I turned the corner to enter the living room through the kitchen I ran into Harry who was holding a baseball bat. I screamed and he almost swung at me, but pulled back in the last second.

"Jesus, you scared the shit out of me," Harry panted as he leaned the bat against the wall. "What are you doing here?"

"I went back to my apartment after dinner with Liam, and Carolyn was making out with Ashton on the couch so I went upstairs because gross but then I found Calum having a threesome so I ran out of my apartment and came here. Louis got arrested so he and Liam are gonna be a while," I explained. "But you can join Calum if you want I assume you're into that stuff."
