Chapter 5

hiii guys just a quick author's note: this chapter may seem a bit like weird and stuff but i'm basically finding a way for you guys to get to know the characters better (like their age, how they know each other, where they're from, their names, etc.) since there are a lot of characters i thought it might be a bit confusing to keep up with everything and i know when i read fics myself i like knowing the characters really well

Maddy's POV

I bolted away from the door and into the living room. I was panting, mostly because I had just faced the love of my life in my pajamas.

"Harry Styles and Niall Horan are on our fucking welcome mat," I looked at Sam with wild eyes as he laughed at me.

Ellie and Luke were now awake and the three of them were casually talking on the couch.

"Oh good they're here I invited them over today," Ellie smiled casually and got up, planning to go open the door for our unexpected guests.

"You what?!" I ran and blocked her path. "Without my permission? I'm in my pajamas!" I screamed at her and she just smiled.

"Surprise!" she grinned and pushed past me. "I told them we would all be in our pajamas and Harry said they'd come in theirs too."

"I - why?" I followed her towards the front door.

"I know you love them and you have a lovely apartment so why not bring them over?" she reached for the doorknob.

"I - wait!" I grabbed her hand and pinned her against the door. "I have to get ready!"

Ellie was like a foot taller than me and easily pushed me away. She opened the door and invited Harry and Niall in. They awkwardly stepped inside while I screamed and ran through the kitchen and up the stairs into my room, locking the door behind me. I then regretted my decision and crept downstairs, hiding on the bottom step. I could hear everyone talking in the kitchen.

"Holy," I heard Addy drop a kitchen utensil and I imagined her staring in shock at Harry and Niall. "Hi I'm uh Addy."

"Heyy you must be Harry and Niall," Carolyn said devilishly and I had a feeling her next comment would be insulting towards me. "My friend Maddy who's probably hiding from you on the stairs over there has probably had like 5000 wet dreams about you. I don't really see it though."

I felt my cheeks flush and I crept up a couple of stairs, still attempting to hear the conversation. I heard Harry and Niall laugh at her comment, and I heard someone unlocking the door.

"Maddyyyy I'm home and I brought a guest!" Calum yelled from the front of my apartment.

I sighed and decided it was time to come out from my hiding spot. I slowly crept towards the living room and caught up to Calum before he made it to the kitchen.

"Madz, why are you in your pajamas? Who else is here?" Calum looked at me with an amused expression while the tallish stranger with lavender hair shuffled his feet by the door. "This is Michael, by the way. I met him in a lecture today."

"Hey," I felt my cheeks get a little hot while I shook Michael's hand. He was reaaaallyyy cute.

"Ellie -" I was interrupted by the lockdown alarm blaring throughout the entire building.

Calum's eyes darkened and he walked over to the door, locking it and then grabbed my hand. We walked into the kitchen, while I momentarily forgot about the whole Harry Styles and Niall Horan being in my house situation. I waited for the alarm to stop while everyone stared at me with confused and scared eyes.
