I was so used to being one of the people who wanted to do what's best for others. I was used to being one of those who cheered somebody up whenever they are feeling one.
It was one of those moments when all I just wanted was to shut everybody up. Suddenly, I was hurting. I was the one sacrificing.
To everybody, it was no big deal. That I should just grow up and move on. That soon, the issues about me and Jacob will die down.
But, apparently, it didn't.
I was so busy reflecting what had transpired for the past months until Amaris knocked on my door.
"Sis, can you come with me to the mall today?" She asked and I checked the clock. It was already past nine in the morning and I don't see myself crying over spilt milk so I nodded. "Yey! Alis tayo ng 11 ha? Doon na din tayo maglunch!"
I watched her leave my room before I stand to grab both my towel and bathrobe to shower. It took me only twenty minutes to fix myself.
I wore a simple denim shorts and a blue haltered top since it's summer season already.
Feeling ko masyadong ng nakukulob ang kili-kili ko kung magsusuot pa ako ng short-sleeves.
Once done and satisfied with my look, I grabbed my sling bag and placed my phone and some cash inside before I put it on my body.
When I reached the landing, I saw Amaris all prepped up in her denim pants and sleeveless blouse too. She has put some light make-up on also.
Knowing her, her fashionista side mode is turned on today. For Amaris, every day is runway day.
We rode a jeepney to the mall and she led me immediately to the book store to buy some art materials. I came across a book my Sidney Sheldon and realized that I have saved up money for my hobby so I bought one for myself.
After buying what we need, Amaris led me again to the department store and we were stunned to see a beautiful array of dresses especially the knitted ones.
And it says, 70% off! Isn't it amazing?
"Bilhin mo na!" I exclaimed to her which she agreed and her eyes were shining in excitement. I also bought one for myself in different color.
Once we were both done, I complained about being hungry as it was past lunch time already. Amaris suggested one of our favorite fastfood chains so we both went there and since, sya ang nagyaya, treat nya ako.
I found a table while she ordered for us. I was so relaxed as it is vacation season until my chair bumped somebody behind me. I was about to apologize the person behind when I saw who he or she was sitting with.
The man left with a furious look at his companion while clinging to his knapsack.
I gasped when I saw who his companion was.
There, on the now-empty table, was a tear-strickened Amira.
With a pregnancy kit in her hand.
