The trio spends the next few months in Okinawa, which Rosalía is very happy about. She doesn't want to leave Kumiko yet. Speaking of Kumiko, Rosalía helps her with her dance training when she's not busy with Daniel or Mr. Miyagi. She teaches her different skills and moves from different dance genres. She's even now considering getting into dancing again, she forgot about much she loved it. When she's not dancing with Kumiko, she's spending time with Mr. Miyagi and Daniel, but especially Daniel. The couple finally gets the vacation they wanted after the whole "fight to the death" fiasco. Chozen leaves them alone after that. In fact, they hardly see him, which is probably due to embarrassment. Whatever the reason may be, they're both just grateful for the peace.
After confessing their love for each other, the pair's bond grew a lot stronger. Rosalía's fear of love destroying her life gradually parishes with each passing day at the boy's side. She gains hope every day that she and Daniel won't follow in her parents' footsteps. Daniel, on the other hand, hopes that they follow his parents' example. Growing up, he saw the love his mom and dad shared, so naturally, he's always wanted to experience that himself. Now, he's been presented that opportunity and he knows exactly who he wants to share the experience with.

*6 months later*
Kumiko and Yukie walk the trio to their gate before boarding time. "Here, this is it," Rosalía announces as she spots the sign. They stop walking and stand around to say goodbye. The couple says their goodbyes to Yukie before giving her and Miyagi some space while they talk to Kumiko. Rosalía pulls her friend into a tight hug. "Aww, I'm gonna miss you so much," she tells her. Kumiko chuckles sadly and responds, "me too. I am so happy we all met." Daniel and Rosalía smile at her response. "It sucks that you're not coming with us but I'm so excited for you to start your new job!" the girl enthusiastically claims, making her friend giggle. "Look at you! Miss Kumiko working for a dance company in Tokyo, you're so fancy! I'm so proud of you," she gushes.
"Yeah, me too. You're gonna be great," Daniel pipes up, giving Kumiko a genuine grin. Just then, the door opens, meaning that it's time to board the plane. Everyone hugs and says goodbye one last time. When the two girls hug each other, Kumiko decides to give her friend a suggestion. "You should become a dancer too! You have so much talent," she tells her. Rosalía slightly giggles, flattered by the comment. "I don't know. As a hobby maybe, but as a career..." she replies. Kumiko only smiles and shakes her head, wishing the girl could realize that she has way too much talent to keep hidden from the world. "Think about it," she says, giving her a pointed look.
"Okay... thank you," Rosalía answers. They hug goodbye again before the trio walks through the door. Daniel intertwines his fingers with his girlfriend as they walk through the small hall, making her smile lovingly at him.
*Time skip*
After landing, the three get off the plane and fetch their bags. As they step outside of the airport, Daniel remarks, "ah, smog. Smells like home, huh?" The other two chuckle at the comment. "Daniel-san, Rosalía-san, why mother not here to meet you? You tell them right flight number?" Mr. Miyagi asks. "Oh, yeah, I told her the right flight. I just told her the wrong day. I told her we were coming in tomorrow. She loves surprises," the boy answers. "I just told my mom his mom was giving me a ride. You know, to avoid the niña de la calle [girl of the streets] lecture in the car," the girl chimes in. Every time she'd talk on the phone with her mom, she would throw shade at Rosalía for going on a six-month vacation with her boyfriend. Rosalía loves her mother but she hates her conservative mindset sometimes. Thought I'd avoid a headache for the first few minutes of being back in LA, she thinks.
