36 - A Royal Visit (18+)

Those two weeks passed by very, very quickly. The media was also very much aware of the arrival of the Japanese sovereigns and spent a considerable amount of time to cover that on tv. The day in question, namely the arrival of the royal family arrived. Seokjin had prepared me as much as possible. We would await the family in front of the palace. I had arranged for Bono to stay with Taehyung for the weekend.

          'You can do this Jungkook.' I whispered.

I told him that but it was in a way also something I had to tell myself because I was so stressed about meeting another royal family. To be honest considering my experience in first impressions with Jungkooks it wasn't all too strange I was nervous. As his father indicated as one of the first things that he wouldn't accept me. Surely the royal family arrived and the king formally introduced me. 

The Japanese king and queen were accompanied by their son; Kazun, who was about my age. They all looked so impressive so it was hard not to feel slightly intimidated. Though, as soon as I was introduced to them the Japanese king and prince gave me a friendly smile, the queen for some reason didn't seem to smile at all.

The family stayed in the guest house which was on the same land as the palace, just at the other side of the garden.

Jungkook pov

The royal family first took their own time to freshen up. The only event on the agenda of today was the dinner this evening.

y/n first changed and when she walked out I needed a moment to process it. It was just that I never saw her in a skirt, it was always a dress or pants.

    'What is it?' she asked worried 'does it look stupid?'

     'No it's very nice! just.. I wasn't used to it from you'

      'Seokjin actually got it for me but I think it looks nice' she indicated while turning around again, looking at herself in the mirror.

       'it does' I agreed.

We arrived at the dinner room where we waited until the Royals arrived again so that we could properly greet them. They soon appeared and as usual we did our formal greetings.

      'You look lovely' Kazun said to y/n and this kind of annoyed me already.

We started dinner but we didn't even arrive at the main course before the Japanese King saw his chance to embarrass me again.

      'A new law passed which was pretty significant, did you hear about that prince Jungkook?'

I froze, I had no idea what law he was talking about. This was so typical. The Japanese king always pulled this shit, trying to embarrass me. I think it is because as a prince I seem to be more popular, or at least that's what the polls say, instead of his son. 

He doesn't like that very much. The prince himself is also quite competitive so ever since these articles started and whenever they pop up the prince wants to compete in various things just to show everyone he can beat me at something.

I saw a sly smile appear on the Kazun's face, oh he was surely enjoying this.

         'Ah yes it is the law about the farmer protection in relation to the climate agreement correct?' y/n asked in a formal tone.

Both the prince as well as the king, no actually everyone present looked at her with surprise

         'That is correct miss y/n' the king eventually indicated. Y/n started to talk about the law and how some people opposed it but the majority was very much in favor.
