Chapter 15

Hyunjin stared to the woman who sat in front her now. The space inside the carriage seem a bit small for two of them wh have a long legs. His eyes followed everything she do inside there.

"Why you stared me like that?" Chaeyeon asked him as she can't stand with his stare.

"Why you let them say about you like that?" Hyunjin asked her. His voice can tell that he really dislike the way they treat her earlier.

"Its useless to talk back..better keep quiet and everything will go to silent later.." Chaeyeon said to him.

"They try to humiliate and mock you earlier..how can you be calm?" Hyunjin displeased with her answer.

"It's better than the first day I came there.." Chaeyeon said. Hyunjin looked to her.

"What you mean?"

"They used treat me like that..its not worse at all..you don't understand whats going on.. i can stand with their words..its not worse at all compared to past 8 years ago.." Chaeyeon said to him. Hyunjin bite his lips and then he sighed.

"Why he don't protect you back then?" Hyunjin asked about crown prince as Chaeyeon had been treated like that since earlier. Chaeyeon looked to him as he mentioned other man.

"Its in the past already..why he need to be mentioned?"

"Its his duty to protect you..you were his crown princess in the past..I guess he didn't do nothing back then, no wonder them brave to mock and humiliate you.." Hyunjin voiced out his felt toward what happened earlier. Chaeyeon sighed.

"Whats in the past..we should let it go..no need to mention.." Chaeyeon said to him.

"I saw he kept looking to you earlier.." Hyunjin said.

"He has eyes..of course he will look..what a weird statement you give.." Chaeyeon said in annoyed this time.

"I know he has a pair of eyes but..he shouldn't use his eyes to look on you..as you already said its should be in the past..." Hyunjin scoffed back.

"Its his eyes..depending on him to look.." Chaeyeon retorted back.

"You should act like this when we at palace..but you just act like stone at there.." Hyunjin said to her.

"You.." Chaeyeon really feel annoyed with him. Hyunjin rolled his eyes. He just want to make her angry. Actually, he felt jealous the way Jeno looked to her earlier and he want to let his jealous out on Chaeyeon.

Thats why he kept make Chaeyeon annoyed with her. Chaeyeon turned her body around. She learned something new about Hyunjin where he can annoyed people too. Their journey to Hyunjin's dad became silent after their little argument.

Prime Minister Hwang's mansion

Chaeyeon can sense how intense the atmosphere inside the room now. Hyunjin don't talk too much when he came inside the mansion. Chaeyeon also noticed he don't get along with the people inside the mansion. He had other siblings too but different mom. Only he from legal wife but his father seem don't like him.

"Please eat this.." The woman put the food in Hyunjin's bowl. She bit older. Maybe she is second wife to Prime Minister Hwang. Hyunjin just nodded his head without say thank you. Chaeyeon think its a bit rude.

"You going back to border?" Prime Minister Hwang asked Hyunjin who only play with his foods.

"Nothing important to stay at here.." He said while looked to him directly.
