I'm sorry part II

Ash walked to be in front of a crying Serena

"Serena..." 

Serena wasn't looking at him and was acting like if he wasn't there

"Let me explain everything" Ash said as he sat next to her and reached for her hand

"Don't you dare touch me" Serena said with an angry tone still looking away

Ash took his hand back

"Sorry"

Serena was still mad at him and was moving away from him a little

"Serena let me explain everything"

"There's no need"

"But Serena please you don't understand I-"

"Don't you think you have done enough" Serena responded with a low tone

Ash started to look down in shame because he had messed up so much in just one day

"I don't wanna hear a single word from you" Serena said while holding back tears

They sat there in silence as the rain seemed to get even more abundant

"I understand that you are angry and that it might take a lot to forgive me"

Ash was feeling really down but felt that he needed to say it

"I know that you think I'm a liar and I betrayed you but let me say this once"

Serena lifted her head but still wouldn't look at him

"Serena... you are the most talented performer I've ever seen, you have such an incredible bond with your pokémon and you work hard for everything"

'Liar...' Serena thought

"When those boys were insulting you... I couldn't understand why they would say those things about you because I disagreed with everything and I was furious"

Serena was still not believing what he was saying

"When they called your performance boring, not good looking and that you trying to achieve your dreams was sad... I was really angry but I couldn't say anything"

Ash turned to Serena because he had to say something important

"Serena... your performance was the best I've ever seen, you achieving your dreams is not sad and you inspire me"

Serena began to turn to his direction and saw that he was very close

"And you looked gorgeous with the dress... your smile makes me happy and when you are sad I get upset"

Serena began to cry 

"Serena... you are one of the most important people to me and I want us to follow our dreams together"

Serena began to get close to him and couldn't stop looking at him

"I am so sorry for hurting you and I know that you probably will never forgive me" Ash said with a low tone and started to cry

"I don't know how I would react if you gave up because of my mistakes but just remember that it doesn't matter what you do... I will support you to my fullest"

Serena suddenly hugged Ash and couldn't let him go

"I'm so sorry for hurting you so much Serena" Ash said as he started hugging Serena back

"I'm sorry too Ash..." Serena said softly as Ash looked at her confused

"I made you worry and I caused you so much trouble" Serena said as she kept hugging Ash

"Hey... you don't need to apologize"

"But Ash..."

Ash took Serena's hand

"I'd do anything for that smile of yours"

Serena started to blush and her mood was a little better

Ash looked at her hugging him and wanted to kiss her but he quickly ditched the thought because he realized that he was thinking about her in a weird way and he didn't know if she felt the same

"You are pretty Serena... don't believe anyone that says you aren't"

Serena broke the hug and looked at his eyes

"You are an incredible person and I love being next to you"

Serena then did something she didn't think she would ever do and kissed him on the cheek which made Ash look at her in awe

"You probably were surprised and are asking yourself a lot of questions but... you'll understand soon"

They looked at the rain falling in front of them and Serena started to feel cold which Ash noticed

"Getting cold?"

"A little"

Ash put his arms around her and cuddled her to give her some warmth

"When we go back... I want things to go back to how they were" Ash said looking at Serena

"Me too"

"Can we promise something to each other?"

"Sure"

"Promise that we will have each others backs and that we will follow our dreams together"

"I promise" Serena said as she got even closer to Ash with a smile

"I also promise to make you happy and I'll make sure you keep your smile because I..."

Ash went silent trying to find the right word

"I understand Ash... you don't have to tell me yet"

Ash looked at her and felt her starting to fall asleep since it was already a little late and it was a long day for her

"I'll wait for you to find the right word"

She fell asleep on top of him and eventually the rain stopped. He carried Serena to the pokecenter and looked at her with a smile. Clemont and Bonnie had already gone to sleep and he put Serena on her bed. Ash smiled while looking at her sleeping peacefully

'I love you Serena' Ash thought to himself as he kissed Serena on her forehead 

So this was part 2 and the ending of this arc. I am gonna start transitioning to the next arc in the following chapters but I had fun with this first one. Next chapter is kind of the conclusion of this and I'll try to make a good transition. Sorry for the slightly shorter chapters in these last 2. It was originally going to be one big chapter but I divided it into 2 different ones. Next chapter comes out tomorrow so until then, goodbye!
