Ash, Gary, Bonnie and Clemont were all racing towards the pokecenter with Ash and Gary on the lead. They were head to head and were running at the same speed. Pikachu then jumped on Gary's chest which pushed him to the floor
"ASH THATS NOT FAIR" Gary scram with anger
"See you later slowpoke!" Ash yelled while running even faster as Pikachu wasn't on him anymore and sped towards the pokecenter
Gary got up and left Pikachu with Clemont and Bonnie as he ran towards the pokecenter. When Gary got there he saw that Ash was nowhere to be found so he checked on Serena's room and found something he didn't expect

'WHAT THE-' Gary thought as he saw the two kissing and 3 seconds later they parted to then see him standing on the door
"Umm" Gary mumbled
The three of them stood there in shock not being able to say anything
"Umm Gary... I know what you are going to say" Serena blurted out
"You two are..." Gary said still in shock
Ash could not speak and seemed like if he had seen a ghost
"Yes... but please don't tell anyone"
"OH MY--" Gary scram ignoring that last part
"Finally you two were up in the air for a while" Gary said congratulating the new couple
"Yea... we did get together" Ash finally spoke
"So this is why you were so excited to see her huh" Gary teased with a smirk
"Kinda but I didn't expect her to kiss me like that..."
"And I didn't expect that interruption either..." Serena pouted but was smiling a little
"Congratulations you two" Gary said smiling
"Thank you Gary but please don't tell anyone yet" Serena said with a serious expression
"Ok I won't" Gary said like if nothing had happened
"Really it was that easy to convince you?" Ash asked surprised
"Yea dude I was rooting for you both and now I see you guys worked out so I am relieved"
"Thank you Gary" Serena responded happily
"But why keep it a secret?" Gary asked as he leaned on the door so that no one could barge in like he did
"Well we wanted to have a little bit of silence and not have too many questions asked right away" Ash explained
