Farewell

It was the morning after Ash and Serena's date where Ash, Serena and Gary were now leaving the pokecenter to meet up with the siblings. Ash and Serena told Gary about their change of plans and he was fine with it. Gary was actually really happy, not just because he helped getting them together, but because he could now make jokes about them. It was the last day where the three of them would be in Kalos and it was time for them to try something new. Gary had chosen violence that day and would annoy Ash and Serena about their little adventure at any opportunity. Although Gary was enjoying making all the jokes he could, Ash and Serena were in pain. They would continue like that until they reached Lumiose gym where they were met by Bonnie. She had left her brother behind and ran to hug all three of them.

"Good morning Bonnie" Serena said as she lowered herself to Bonnie's level

"Wow someone woke up full of energy" Ash said with a smile

"I did! Now please come inside so that you could see the end of the gym battle!" Bonnie exclaimed dragging Serena with her

"I guess we are watching a gym battle now" Gary murmured

"I guess we are" Ash told Gary as they then followed Bonnie and Serena

When they entered the gym, they saw a kid battling Clemont. Clemont seemed to have been winning and had been battling for a little bit. After another minute, the kid's Froakie fainted as it could not handle Luxray's speed.

"Froakie!" The young trainer shouted as he ran to his fainted pokémon

"It's ok buddy, we tried our best!" The young trainer exclaimed as he returned his pokémon to his pokeball

"You put up a great fight and it's great to see you have such a bond with your pokémon. But now you need to get stronger and I hope to see you once you have become an even better trainer soon!" Clemont told the trainer cheering him up

"Thank you sir!" The young trainer exclaimed as he turned around and saw Ash behind him

"ASH KETCHUM?!" The young boy shouted excitedly

"Umm yeah?" Ash murmured nervously

"I'm such a big fan! I saw you battle in the Kalos League and you inspired me to start my journey as a trainer" The young boy explained more calm

"Oh, that's nice! I hope the very best for you in your journey and remember to never give up, ok?" Ash said putting his hand on the boy's shoulder

"Thank you so much" The boy said as he left the gym determined to fight again

'What a nice kid' Ash thought to himself

Clemont walked towards them to greet them

"I see you are doing great as a gym leader" Serena said with a smile

"Yeah... we have had a bunch of challengers ever since the League" Clemont said sounding a little tired

"You sound kind of tired" Gary said confused

"Yeah, is there anything wrong?" Ash asked a little worried

"No..." Clemont mumbled

"He spent the entire night inventing devices" Bonnie admitted for her brother with a smug face

"We should have known" Serena said face palming holding her laughter

They spent an hour at the gym telling stories of their journeys until Serena had to reveal her plans to leave Kalos.

"Clemont and Bonnie there's something we have to announce" Serena said very nervously

"What is it?" Clemont asked
