Awkward Conversation

"Mom!" Ash exclaimed as he ran towards his mother and hugged her while Pikachu jumped from his shoulder and cuddled with her

"Welcome back my dear" Delia greeted as she hugged her son back

Serena smiled at the interaction between Ash and his mom. Delia broke the hug and then looked up to see Serena at their door.

"I see you brought company huh? I'm guessing you are Serena" Delia asked as she walked towards Serena who was getting a little nervous again

"Yes" Serena replied

"Well, it's nice to meet you in person dear" Delia said smiling at the nervous girl in front of her

"Thank you" Serena said smiling back

"So, I'm guessing that Ash asked you to stay here, did he?" Delia asked with a teasing look while looking at the two of them

Little did Ash and Serena know that Delia had already spotted them holding hands, so she was suspecting that something was going on. Yet she wasn't completely sure since it was possible Ash was doing it for the sake of doing it and it wasn't because they were in a relationship. But she was still in the lookout for any clues about them being together in secret.

"I did and its ok right?" Ash said drawing his mother's attention

"Of course it is dear" Delia responded

Serena sighed in relief when she heard those words. She didn't know why she would think that they were just going to kick her out but she just simply had insecurities. She also figured that Ash had probably pulled stuff like that before since he seemed very sure about her mom simply welcoming her.

"You two are probably hungry so please come to the dining table and I will bring you guys dinner shortly" Delia said looking at the two happily

"Great because I'm starving! Let's go Sere" Ash said excitedly as he took Serena's hand to both her and Delia's surprise

Delia was very surprised by Ash's bold actions and how he casually just took Serena's hand. She was now even more suspicious of something going on and looked at them walk away. Delia could only smile because she knew her son seemed to have found someone, he took an interest in. She was happy that she was able to see her son potentially encounter those feelings but now she only needed to ask them and make sure. She went towards the kitchen so that she could get the dinner she had prepared and had Mimey help her out with the dishes. When she entered the dining room, she saw Ash and Serena joking around with each other while being surrounded by their pokémon. Delia smiled and sat down in front of them.

"So, are those your pokémon Serena?" Delia asked looking at Braixen, Pancham and Sylveon

"Yeah" Serena responded

"They look really cute" Delia told Serena

"They really are" Serena said as Sylveon used one of her feelers and moved Serena's hair a little with a playful motion which made her giggle

"So, Serena tell me about you" Delia said smiling at the girl

"Well, I am training to become a performer and become the Kalos queen" Serena told Delia as she quickly turned to her pokémon and then back at Delia

"Wow that sounds like a big title!" Delia told Serena with a happy expression

"It is and she almost won!" Ash exclaimed raising his fists and smiled at Serena who smiled at him back

"Wow that's nice" Delia said looking at the two with her suspicion of something going on between them getting stronger

"Yeah and now, she is going to participate on contests so that she could get experience and then accomplish her dream" Ash told his mother
