An old friend

The following morning Ash, Clemont, Bonnie and Serena arrived at the train station where they would be taken to Lumiose. They got on the train and sat in two sets of two chairs close together. Bonnie wanted to go with her brother so Ash and Serena took the seats in front while Bonnie and Clemont took the seats behind them.

"Look Clemont look!" Bonnie exclaimed looking at the Lumiose tower far away

"We are almost there" Clemont said looking at the window

"Wow it looks so cool!" Ash exclaimed looking at the city

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed in the boy's shoulder

Serena looked at Ash being excited and having the biggest smile on his face while looking at the window

'That's the boy I have a crush on...' Serena thought to herself smiling at Ash slightly blushing

"Hey Serena what are you looking at" Bonnie whispered to Serena's ear

"NOTHING" Serena exclaimed loudly with a big blush now

"Are you sure...?" Bonnie said almost laughing

"y-y-ea" Serena said still blushing furiously

Ash looked over to them confused

"Sere are you ok?" Ash asked putting his hand on her shoulder

"YES" Serena exclaimed loudly again with a red face

"It's just that your face got really red again..."

"It's nothing" Serena whispered having to look away

"Alright then" Ash said going towards the window again

Both Pikachu and Bonnie face palmed at Ash not realizing that Serena was blushing because of him but little did they know, he was going through a train of thought.

'Oh my she was bushing and she was so cute!' Ash thought to himself but hiding his happy expression

They reached Lumiose city and started walking towards the pokecenter to see what Ash had to do

"Do you have any idea on what you have to do Ash?" Clemont asked

"No idea but we'll see"

The four of them reached the pokecenter and Ash left to call prof. Oak

"Hello Ash"

"Hello prof. Oak"

"I hope your journey through the Kalos region has been going well"

"It has!" Ash exclaimed excitedly looking back at his friends who were sitting on the living room

"So let me tell you what I wanted you to help me on"

Ash looked at prof. Oak with a determined expression

"So me and prof. Sycamore have been collaborating and I am now helping him research mega stones"

"Really!?"

"Yes and we both agreed to have an assistant of mine come to the Kalos region and gather some stones to research on the pokémon from the Kanto region"

Ash began to wonder on what pokémon he could mega evolve

"So I was hoping you could help my assistant get a few stones... So what do you say?"

"I will do it!"

"Great!"

"But wait who is your assistant that's coming over here?"
