Namjoon stays standing in shock. Never before had Taehyung insulted him like that. He's aware of how dead his relationship with his brother is. But that's not what he wants. On the other hand, the meeting he just had with the King left a terrible taste in his mouth. No matter what, the image of his brother is gonna be on his mind all night.

He enters the kitchen. He'll need more caffeine if he's gonna spend the next hours thinking about what his brother will do when he finds out about his father's plan. Actually, that could happen any moment now. He just saw Tae go meet his father and he's sure the yelling will start soon.

- I need a coffee

- Another one? You drank one a few hours ago! You won't be able to sleep!

Jin realizes he just talked informally to the Prince who hates him the most. And most importantly, why would he care about the other's health?

-... I'll make that coffee

Namjoon isn't angry. His head is clearly somewhere else. Standing next to a kind of uncomfortable Jin, he stares at the wall and asks

- You have any brothers, Chef?

Jin is surprised about that soft tone.

- Not...not really, no. Well, not biologically at least. I do have other kinds of "brothers"

Right. He left his family to come here, Namjoon remembers. He starts to talk until he realizes what he's doing.

- If your brother...forget it

- You can tell me! I promise I'll give my honest answer

Even if Jin sounds convincing Namjoon remembers his place. A future King should not talk with a Chef.

- Why would I want the opinion of a nosy chef who seems to know random political facts?

Random facts? Nosy? God, Jin hates this guy! And honestly he's not ready to see him again every night asking for cups and cups of coffee.

- I'll make a tea. It'll help you sleep - The look he receives makes him lie for a moment - I worry about your health, my Prince.

Without minding the clear change of tone from one sentence to the other, Namjoon complains

- I hate tea

- You'll love mine

The hatred seems to be mutual. Jin serves the tea...but this image breaks his heart. Despite how much he despises Namjoon, his glassy eyes trying to keep a facade that's clearly falling apart is not what he wants to see.

- S-should I call someone before I leave?

- Excuse me?

- You look like you need to talk to someone. If I'm not that someone which is understandable, I can call whoever you want. I won't mind doing it

For the longest time Jin wanted to rob something more than knifes and walking around the castle would be ideal for it. But this time, just for once he would focus on what his Prince says. However, Namjoon thinks deeply and no name comes to mind. No one. No one but a very annoying Cheff who looks at him waiting for an answer. How pathetic.
Namjoon denies with his head and looks down. The tea in front of him smells delicious and it tastes even better. How can he make everything taste so good?

- If you had to choose between your "brothers" and your kingdom, which would you choose?

- Oh...well, both

- God you're terrible at this! Tae usted to do the same. You're one of those people to who if I ask "would you rather die drowned or burned" you'd say "I don't wanna die"

- And that's...not the right answer?

- You are not good at metaphorical questions. I guess you are not as smart as I thought

- Well maybe if you can't think of a third option you're the one that's an idiot!

Namjoon gets up completely upset and faces Jin, back on his old habits. Jin seems confused with the reaction.

- Why do you have to disrespect me! You just insulted your future King! I'm so close to ask you not to come back tomorrow.

- Oh... I'm sorry my Prince - He answers sarcastic - I thought you wanted me to be honest. I misinterpreted, I meant to say "whatever you choose will be perfect"

Namjoon doesn't say sorry even if he feels it. He had no one to talk to but him and he just messed up again. When did he change so much? He gets up and leaves saying one last goodbye.

- Goodnight, Chef

Jin walks his way back home completely confused. Something is clearly wrong. Not only Namjoon seems to be having a fucking personality crisis. But after a meeting with the King he suggests the Young Prince might be in trouble. And so does their Kingdom.

If Kim Namjoon can't find a third option, he will. Taehyung is finally helping and he can't risk putting him in danger, at least for now. The only question is...how the hell would the Kingdom be "saved" by destroying the Young Prince?!

On the other side, Namjoon enters his room. Finally feeling like he can sleep for a thousand hours. Damn, he needs to drink tea more often. But before he can go to bed he notices the letters on his desk. Well, maybe he can read one. Just one. The first marked one.

Jinnie: Sorry it took me a few more weeks to send the present. But I dare you to tell me you don't love it! Honestly when your aunt saw it, she wanted to sell it. You know her and rings...But hey! I saved it well!
Maybe you don't remember but your parents had ones just like that. Jin, I promise I'll find the two they owned.

Your incredibly stunning cousin, Hyunnie

Namjoon sighs. No matter how much he tries to find something bad about that man...all he finds is an honest, annoying, apparently orphan, handsome and somehow endearing Chef. Trying not be more confused than he already is, he goes to bed. And thankfully, he doesn't read the rest of the letters...
