A growl in the moonlight

All day I couldn't concentrate on anything. Not one god damned thing. You want to know why? Because Cody was constantly at my side. He wouldn't leave me alone. Not saying I didn't want him by my side, cause I did, but I don't have a clue why I couldn't concentrate. Was he really that distracting? Yea, I guess he was. But I needed time to think about things so I went out into the forest behind our house while Cody was inside helping Bradley with his homework, which wasn't much.

I was just walking silently by myself. For some odd reason I felt alone. I wanted Cody to be here with me. No I don't he will jsut be distracting and you won't be able to think. Think about what? Think about if your going to fast. You've known him for ust over 24 hours and your already making out with him. Isn't that going too fast? Well, I supose so...

I sat on a rock as I got to the creek and I was sure I felt someone watching me but once I looked around, nothing was there. This is really awkward. Especially since the full moon is out tonight. Normally I wouldn't be afraid of the full moon, but tonight I was.

With the full moon shining and me feeling like something or someone is watching me, it was all too creepy. Why was I out here by myself? Am I an idiot?

Clearly I am an idiot.

I heard some twigs snap behind me and my head snapped in the direction. Nothing was there but darkness. Maybe I should head back...

"NICOLE!" I heard someone yell. I didn't turn my head to look at Cody as he broke through the bushes ehind me. I was still looking for whatever was in the darkness. I knew something was there. "Nicole... what are you doing?" Cody asked. He was standing right behind me now.

"Something moved," I pointed to where I was looking. "I swear!"

Cody took one glance and stiffened. He wrapped his arms around my waist, "Come on, we better not make it angry."

I heard a growl coming from the tree's in front of me and I jumped back a bit more into Cody's arms. "I think it's already angry," I whispered to Cody.

Cody pulled me closer to him and we slowly backed away. Once we were far enough away so that I couldn't see where it was anymore I turned to face Cody and pulled him into a hug. He didn't hesitate to hug me back. "You should be more careful," He said into my hair.

I couldn't talk so I just nodded my head. What if the thing had eaten me. What if Cody haddn't had come. There are just too many what if's.

Maybe I wasn't going too fast with Cody. Maybe he was just what I needed to keep me out of trouble and put me back into my place. He seemed way more responsible than me.

I know its short, and for that, I am sorry. Tell me what you think though :D
