I waved at everyone as I left the school at the end of the day. We all said out goodbyes for the weekend and were going to see each other again on Monday because they all were going on a camping trip. I didn't mind that their parents didn't want me to go with them. I was perfectly fine with it. I had other things to do anyways. Like take care of my little brother while my parents were gone for the weekend. I didn't mind that either.
I got into my little red car and started it. I quickly drove out of the parking lot and all the way to my house. It only took me a good five minutes before I was walking up my front steps to get into my house. I had no idea why I was in a rush today. I just felt the need to get home for some odd reason.
When I finally got in side the house, which took longer than I would have liked because I can't really open doors, I sprinted into the kitchen. Maybe I just wanted to get home because I was really hungry. I should really stop skipping lunch to do my math homework. Doing it at home would be the better choice. I'm just an idiot that way.
I made myself a quick sandwhich and ate it all before my parents walked in the door. They seemed really happy and were laughing with other people. I guess we have guests. "Nikki!" My little brother screamed at me when he ran into the kitchen.
"Why hello there Bradly. How was your day?" He giggled as I picked him up and put him on my hip so I could make him an after school snack. He went on rambling about how he made a new friend today with a little girl named Molly. He said that they both colored pictures of sponge bob for each other. How little kids life is so easy, I will never know.
I placed him at the table and gave him his snack. He was instantly silenced the second his eyes saw the food in front of him. My mother walked in while he was eating and laughed along with me at the sight of him. He was a really messy eater. But he did it with pride. "Nicole, I want you to come meet the people who will be staying with us for the weekend." She said with a wide smile, "I think you will really like them."
I shrugged and followed her to one of our living rooms. Believe it or not, we have three. Did I forget to metion that my house is massive? Yea, well it is. We entered the room and all eyes were on me. My father was seated in the middle of the room with a man and a wife to his right. To his left was a boy. A really cute boy around my age. When my eyes met his, nothing else in the world existed. It was just him and I.
Oh my god, I am not this cheesy. Why am I staring deep into his eyes? Why is he staring back? Why do I think he's really cute? What is wrong with me? I tore my gaze away to look at my father, "Nicole, this is Mark and Heather and their son Cody. " He smiled at me.
"Hi," I smiled at all of them and gave a little wave.
I refused to look back in Cody's eyes. If I did, I would probably end up just staring at them all day and I would look like a complete creeper. I do not want to make that kind of impression on a guy as hot as Cody. I mean look at him! His amazing blonde hair that was alomost long enough to cover his eyes, I just wanted to brush it away. His forest green eyes were just heavenly and I could look at them for the rest of my life and never get bored. God, why am I feeling this way? Nicole Colnel never acts this way. I have a reputation to uphold at school.
"Can you show Cody to his room? Give him a tour of the house?" My mother asked me. I didn't even notice that she was now sitting down beside my dad. Wow, I get side tracked easily. Damn you Cody. "He will be staying in the blue room."
I nodded my head to show her I understood and turned away not making sure this Cody fella was following me.
