I Suck at Being a Werewolf

Years and years of dodgeball couldn't prepare me for dodging the punches thrown by a very strong werewolf woman. Even if she admitted she wasn't on her period.

Alicia was a talkitive girl with a lot of built up anger that I feel like she had been saving up just specially for me.

My nose and mouth were bleeding and I could feel the black eye on my right eye forming. Also there was a cut over my left eyebrow and my left eye hard started to swell shut. I could feel the cuts all over my knuckles even though she had given me gloves to help that from not happening. My stomach was sore and I had to hold in the pee that I've had to do since we started becasue I have yet to get a bathroom break today.

Also, my arm muscles and leg muscles can't take any more of this.

I watched as Alicia wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead, she had no marks on her at all. I had gotten a couple punches in but that was while she was too busy gloating over hers.

"Okay stop!" I finally yelled and took a few steps back from her.

Alicia and everyone else looked at me with confusion. Guessing from the looks they were all giving me, I looked just as bad as I felt.

"What?" Serria snapped.

I glared at them, but I'm sure it didn't look like a glare. "I don't think any of you understand humans at all."

"What do you mean? Of course we understand humans," Alicia snapped. She probably just wanted to lay some more punches on me.

"All of this," I motioned to my face, "will not go away in an hour or a day like yours will. Okay, I understand the whole healing thing because of Cody and Nathan's fights. This will go away in about six weeks. I don't think beating me to a pulp and forcing my body to do things it was never meant to be is the way to go about these things."

"Well how are you supposed to defend yourself?" Rabecca asked, a little annoyed.

"You seriously don't get it, do you?" I asked with dissbelief. "I know everyone wants me to toughen up and deal, but that won't happen over night! I won't wake up tomorrow and be good at this! It will take time for me to get good at even a little bit of this. Maybe in a week I'll get one more minute of running and in two weeks I'll be able to get one more punch landed on Alicia but this is not going to work. You're going at this all wrong! You're usuing werewolf training techniques on a human and their not going to work!"

I was so frustrated as I took off the gloves and threw them to the floor. "I'm not like you guys! can't you understand that?!"

They were all silent so I took that as a sign that I could go to the bathroom instead of peeing my pants right then and there. So I left.

I can't be a werewolf.

Its not in my blood, its not my future. This is not the life for me.

They left me alone to tend to my face and rest for the rest of the afternoon.

I didn't want to give up, I just can't be as good as they need me to be. I'll try, just less than what they've been expecting of me and more gradual so it will actually work.

"Okay," I said quietly after super. They all turned to look at me with blank expressions. No one had said anything all afternoon to me so this was really weird.

"I want to be stronger and abe able to defend myself but this time were doing it my way." I started, a little more confident with myself. "I will do the running and learnt he punching tecniques and learn all about werewolf polotics and stuff. However, I will run until I can't push myself at a speed that I like. I will learn strength excersizes and how to punch someone. Today you taught me how to get beat up and how to get tired, tomorrow I learn real life lessons. Okay?"

They all smiled and nodded. Finally we're getting somewhere.
