I was walking home when I stopped hearing Emma and the Sheriff fighting and then he kissed her. She pulled away looking shocked but he looked like he'd seen a ghost. Emma walked off leaving him on the corner, poor guy. I walked over to him and shook my head." You okay, Sheriff" he looked at me and nodded. I smiled" you look like you've seen a ghost" I pointed out and he frowned.

" I definitely saw something and out wasn't a ghost"

" what did you see"

" a wolf, with two different colored eyes"

" hmm, maybe your just really drunk, go home and sleep, you'll feel better" I told him before walking away with a frown. Once I was out of sight, I ran into the woods." I know your out here, please, your friend needs your help" I whispered and a white wolf appeared One of its eyes was blood red while the other was dark as night. It walked over to me and I knelt next to it." Its alright, he'll remember and he'll come to you, just wait, alright" I told it rubbing its head. Then I went home as the wolf ran to see his old friend.

The next morning, I went out into the woods with Gold, he told me for gardening but I didn't believe him. Gram ran up to us and asked what we were doing thinking Gold was a wolf, I laughed when he asked if he forgot to shave. Gold walked off and Gram looked at me confused " have you seen one" I smiled, pointing in a direction." That way" and he ran off in that direction, I ran after him, seeing if he would follow the wolf and he did.

They stared at each other and I leaned against a tree.

" he's your friend" I tell him making him jump and turn around." What do you mean" the wolf growled before walking over to me. Reaching down I petted him" how do you him"

" because, he knows I'm not a threat but a friend, a wolf is a loyal companion to have, Sheriff as long they know that your trustworthy you'll have a friend for life" the wolf went back over to him and he touched his head. A shocked expression crossed the sherrifs face and the wolf disappeared." Thank you, Rose"

" just doing my job, Sheriff, now don't you have a job to get to" I told him before walking away.

A little while later I was sitting with Henry at Granny's and Henry was asking me questions about my story, I'd told him about what was happening with Gram." So you've met the huntsmen before and his wolf"

" yep, but he didn't really trust me at first, until his wolf tried to steal my food" I laughed

" how many people have you met in your escapes"

" not that many, I've met Red riding hood, Snow white, Jiminy Cricket, I think I even ran into Robin hood once but that was because I knocked him over running" I chuckled making Henry smile.

" how many times did you try"

" 358 times, I counted" his eyes widened as I siped my lemonade" don't seem so shocked, I tried for five years, you get bored with nothing to do but read and grow plants "

" but did you ever get close"

" just once but someone ratted me out" I mumbled and he frowned" who?"

" don't know, my memory is foggy from that time, and its not the curse. When I do try it feels like a dream but I can't wake up from it, I get flashes but its like I'm trying to swim through pudding or something"

" do you think someone wiped your memory" he asked and I shrugged. My cellphone went off and I looked to see it was Gold. I sighed before answering.

Rose, Im not going to be home tonight so be home by 8

Then he hung up and I sighed." Can I know who he is yet" Henry asked and I shook my head smiling" got to find out for yourself Henry" I got up and handed him the money to pay when he was done" aww, but I want to know more about your story, the book doesnt say much on you" I smiled.

" maybe next time Henry" I laughed leaving him to his cacao.
