Crimson Moon's Ascension : The Vampire's Alpha

The Ceremony

Every body including some famous vampire families were gathered to congratulate their queen. Eric and Ariel had already arrived and were mingling with other guests. The Alpha's who left earlier had also returned along with their Lunas.

While everyone was busy in either chatting or drinking the three trouble makers ( Samantha, Jackson and Alan) were busy taking sneaky shots of their favourite Cp. Samantha and Jackson were giggling like high school girls and Alan was standing a bit far from them, implying that he has no connection with the fools standing three feet away from him.

Ariel had her arm linked with Eric's and she was holding a glass of champagne in her other hand. The couple was emitting a royal aura and the people around them couldn't help but feel inferior to them. The looked like a perfect combination of beauty and brains.

As the moon was in full bloom the ceremony started, Ariel and Eric were invited to the stage and were asked to follow the rituals.

Even though Ariel had already heard about the procedure from Alan but she was still nervous but being the queen she is, she quickly hid her true emotions and replaced them with nothing but confidence. Looking at her face one could see the impression of a goddess.

Going on the stage Eric extended his hand and wrapped it around Ariel's waist, " I can't wait to make you mine". Eric whispered so softly that only Ariel could hear it. A light blushed crept on her cheeks as she slightly pushed Eric.

Taking Ariel's hand in his Eric looked at her intently " do you Ariel Spencer, accept the duties of the Luna of Silvermoon pack and promise to carry them with honesty and dedication, do you promise to be loyal to your alpha and accept him fully as your mate." Eric asked with a face devoid of any emotions.

"I, Ariel Spencer, promise to carry out my duties as the Luna of Silvermoon pack. I promise to be loyal to my alpha and accept him fully as my mate." Ariel replied.

Eric picked up a knife placed on a tray and wrapped his hand around it, slicing his palm he swiftly pulled the knife and handed it to Ariel.

Ariel followed Eric and soon a cut could be seen on her palm. Eric took her bloodied hand in his. " I promise to protect you with my life." Eric said before their blood combined, forming a strong bond between them. Whole place was filled with loud cheers.

Ariel could now feel her connection with the pack, she could feel their presence in her mind. Before the pack bombarded her with best wishes Ariel blocked them out of her mind. Listening to hundreds of voices in your head at once isn't something that gives you pleasure, right?

During the ceremony Eric purposely lefted out the part where Ariel had to promise him to obey his command. He knew that Ariel being the queen had her own choices and some of them even differed from his. He didn't wanted to force his little mate.

After the ceremony people resumed their normal chatting. The only thing that was off was the absolute absence of Jordan and his sons. Their absence was giving Ariel a weird feeling because right now she is was unaware of what they were planning.

The trouble makers trio made their way to the couple and congratulated them. " ah, she's all grown up now." Jackson said dramatically leaning towards Alan. "oh stop it, you are making it look like she is getting married and moving to another state." Samantha said, rolling her eyes.

Suddenly Eric started to feel pain in his chest, the pain grew more and more by each second. Not being able to control anymore he excused himself and went back to the pack house walking straight to his room.

Someone was following Eric  as he went to his room. After reaching his room Eric slammed the door shut and tried to figure out his current situation. The pain in his chest was now traveling to other parts of his body. His vision got blurry and he fell on the ground.

Eric felt like there was a flame in his heart that was now burning his whole body. His head was filled with ringing sound. His condition was getting worse, he tried to mind link Ariel but failed.

As he was struggling to get up someone entered the room. " What are you doing?, get the hell out of here." Eric yelled through his pain.
