The book that Ariel was reading interested her to the point where she completely blocked out all the sounds near her, her sole focus on the creature mentioned.
Eric who had just finished his work was amused to see his mate so focused that she didn't even noticed his presence.
He stood there admiring as his mate's expression changed with every page she read, from fear to admiration, from delight to disgust.
Eric was startled abit as Ariel suddenly closed her book and threw it in his direction.
Eric thanked his quick reflexes as the book would have hit him right in his face if he had not caught it.
"I'm soo sorry, I didn't realize you were standing there." Ariel said.
"No worries, I just finished my work and wanted to check on you." Eric nonchalantly said as he placed the book on nightstand.
"You finally finished all your work?" Ariel asked with the expression of a child who finally gets his wish fulfilled.
Eric chuckled at her excitement and nodded his head. "since I'm done with my work and there is nothing much to do here, do you wanna go out?"
Ariel who was already excited couldn't hold it in as she nodded her head frantically, jumping on the bed repeating yes over and over again." but where should we go? "
Eric: "anywhere you like, maybe taking a stroll around a park or movies or maybe some restaurant."
Ariel thought for a while before saying " let's just take a stroll nearby, sitting here all day has made my legs rusty."
Eric nodded his head and offered his hand which Ariel took instantly.
Both of them walked towards a nearby forest which had a clearing of about 30 feet in the middle.
" Is this the park you mentioned? " Ariel asked eyeing him carefully.
"weren't you the one saying that you haven't walked around for a while, I thought that here you can use your abilities and maybe practice abit if you want" Eric replied.
" Then how about you join me?". Ariel smirked before using her fast speed to reach the other side.
Eric and Ariel stood on opposite sides both displaying a playful smile.
