Liam's pov :

I've searched for her everywhere I could think off, I asked everyone in school about her after Sofia told me that she was in her class, I asked the teachers and even inquired about her from the principal, no one literally no one new anything about her, not wanting to lose hope I even tried to get help from a friend of mine and hack into students info stored in the computer but unfortunately I found nothing. It's just like that she didn't even exist.

"It's your fault I told you not to reject her, now mate is gone because of you. " my wolf (Josh) scolded me.

"do you think I didn't realized that yet, I have tried everything that I can, there is still no sign of her, I am already regretting it. " I said to my wolf.

Ariel was right I am regretting this more than any thing, what the hell was wrong with my brain, I could just have accepted her and then shield her from my father, but in the end I am just a coward who just overthinks and does nothing.

It's been days and there is not a single place where I haven't searched. The principal is still not giving any sort of information, I even sneaked into his office but there was no record regarding her. I tried tracking her friend Samantha as well but failed, I tried to get the footage from the club but it was erased before I can get my hands on it.

I think I will go mad like this there is nothing that I like anymore I just want may mate, her heart broken face and teary eyes are on my mind all the time. That scene keeps playing in my mind like a broken tape. I think I'll go crazy at this rate.

"Liam I want you in my office office right now. " my father mind linked me. I rushed towards the office because my father is a very strict person who doesn't likes to wait for anyone. I remember that one time he called me to his office and I was 5 minutes late, he made me kneel down for five hours.

Not wanting to repeat the same thing I fastened my pace.

"Yes father" I asked keeping my head low. " There is a special party organised this year by the queen of vampires we are invited and are supposed to bring our sons as well, looks like she is looking for her mate. " my father said.

"when is the party father?, can you take Josh instead ? ".

For some of you who are wondering, yes, my brother has the same name as my wolf.

My father looked at me from his desk "It's tomorrow, and what do you think? You are going to become the future alpha and you are my eldest son. " my father said in a tone saying try me and you'll regret it. Not wanting to say anything to enrage him I politely said. "I'll be ready father. "

My father was not always like this before our mother passed away he was a cheerful person who loved to joke around but after her death my father changed. Losing his mate made a great impact on him and he closed himself completely. He became more and more strict and even started to have some anger management issues.

Today we are going to the party organized by the queen, they are saying that she will be there as well which has not happened before, everyone knew of lord Alan and  Jackson but no one knew anything about the Queen except that her parents (the previous king and queen) died 3 years ago. Since she is a queen she must be at least 30 years old why should I prepare my self for meeting a old lady. I thought.

I am just 20 I should probably meet someone close to my age like my mate.

"Liam let's go" my father mind linked me. Oh that's why we are going, because of my father. My father and I were wearing a blue suit while the rest of our men (guards) were wearing black. "Behave yourself in front of the queen, Liam if she agreed to be on our side then you will not only become the rightful alpha but also the strongest alpha. " my father said obviously thinking of the ways to make the queen cooperate with us.
