Archie eventually comes out of the carrier bag when there are fewer people around. Archie's fluffy tail moves side to side at a constant rhythm as our youngest mirrors my action of looking out the window with curiosity. There're some people passing by sneaking glances towards us, or maybe they're solely curious about Erissa's appearance since even if she hides her elvish ears, her facial feature still stands out amongst a building full of humans. As long as no one bothers us, it's fine with me.

A female clerk kindly offers us some refreshment which I gladly try some. Archie sniffs the half-eaten biscuit in my hand before turning away.

"Do you want your snack, Archie?" I offer as I pretend to take out one honey nut and seed brittle from my item bag.

Archie takes the brittle from my hand and quietly nibble on it. Just then, I hear muffled squealing in the background. Glancing sideways, I see two other female clerks standing behind the counter peeking towards us.

Erissa suddenly speaks with a gentle tone that matches her smile, "'That monster is adorably cute, I want to pet it.' They've been saying that this whole time."

I feel proud for some reason.

"Archie sure has a way of capturing the hearts of the people without doing much," I quietly thought.

Just in case, I caution our youngest. "Don't accept when someone offers you snacks without my permission, alright Archie?"

The red panda cries in response and that cause another round of muffled squealing from the female clerks.

After another hour of uneventful waiting, Senior Officer Derek walks into the waiting area and apologises the instant he spots us.

"I apologies for the wait."

Then, he proceeds to hand over two envelopes; a brown envelope and a small, white envelope typically use for letters.

"Your tamer permit is in the brown envelope, and please show the letter in the white envelope to the receptionist at the Adventurers' Guild."

I curiously ask after receiving both envelopes from him. "What's the letter for?"

"A letter of acknowledgement. This will help speed the process of your tamer's registration."

Surprise by his thoughtful gesture, it takes me a moment before thanking him.

"You didn't have to but, I'm grateful."

"Please don't mind it," Senior Officer Derek replies before pausing to look at the clock on the wall. "If you are planning to head over to the Adventurers' Guild right after this, there is still time before the reception counter closes. The afternoon peak hour is not for another three hours, so you should be able to avoid being stuck in a line too long."
