On the second day of the festival, Kinai is listening to a guard delivering his report from the sanctuary, concerning the magical beast that was transported to the village in the early hours of the morn.

"The keepers report that the magical beast is no longer in danger. It will be moved to rehabilitation once they confirmed there is no risk of relapse."

"I see. That is a relief to hear. You may leave." Kinai says.

The guard salute before leaving the room.

Kinai faces the two people sitting across from him.

"You have our gratitude for risking your lives in bringing the magical beast to us."

"This is part of performing our duties as well. Please don't mind it."

Captain Leon Woolfe of the Imperial Army of Esmeron Second Unit responds. Beside him is Vice-captain Armand Dreyes.

"Even so, you were fortunate that the rangers detected your unit at the entrance or it will be too late for the magical beasts and your men. The healers thoroughly inspected your body and determined you were not exposed to the danger," says Kinai.

"Yes. We were also given potions to be safe. On behalf of my men, you have our utmost gratitude for your gracious hospitality." Captain Leon Woolfe respond.

The two Imperial Army soldiers lower their heads in gratitude.

"We were only following protocols during such an occasion. It is nothing extraordinary. There is something I would like to know. Where did your unit find the magical beast?"

After receiving a sign from Captain Leon Woolfe, Vice-captain Dreyes answers.

"We were returning from our mission after receiving numerous reports of tainted monster sightings along the borders. The mining town was our final destination and on our route, we encountered a pack of rabies wolf attacking the magical beast."

Kinai is listening carefully then ask his question for confirmation.

"Rabies wolf? Not the tainted ones?"

"No. We assumed the magical beast managed to flee its attacker before the pack smelled the blood."

A knock on the door distracts their conversation. Kinai reads the message delivered to him and relays it to the two men.

"Our lord expresses his deepest gratitude for your assistance. He wishes you to stay and enjoy the festival if you have the time to spare before you resume your official duties."

Vice-captain Dreyes glances over Captain Woolfe with a look that tells him it would be rude to decline. Thus, they accept the offer and informs Kinai that they will be staying for two days.
