I accompany Po and Jilko to their lodging. Jilko is holding her father's hand until we arrive at a cottage located at the edge of the village. I sometimes pass by here during my run but never get to see it properly. It's quite far for a place to live but the constant clinking noises could be the reason why.

"Sorry, we're closed."

A woman says from the reception desk.

"Nom nom."

The woman look at the door. "Ah, Po, Jilko. You're back so soon."

"Nom nom."

Jilko gestures her hand at me.

"Any friend of a gnome is a friend of mine. I am Bertha. My husband and I run the only dwarf workshop in Kirashira Village."

Po's leg gives out. Bertha brings a chair over while I diagnose his symptoms with recovery magic.

A translucent screen appears only for me to see.

'Symptoms: Tiredness due to shock.'

"He'll be fine. He's just tired. Make sure he gets proper rest tonight." I reassure Jilko and Bertha.

"Nom nom."

"No worries. You should rest as well."

Bertha sees me respond to Jill's words without her translation.

"You understand gnomes, missy?"

I only nod.

Before leaving them, I hand over a jar of the rose syrup to Jilko and some packets of Maya's special blend of tea leaves. They thank me once more.

If Mister Duce is getting involved then I might not see him for a while. Better give the syrup to him now. I hurry back to the reception building and wait at the lounge sofa.

In a private room inside the reception building, Mister Duce and Hovel are discussing with Captain Woolfe and Vice-captain Dreyes over the next course of action with the elf receptionist, Polina.

"I'll return to the mining town and inform the commercial and adventurer's guild master." Mister Duce says.

"I will join you. We need to investigate if there are other incidents similar to these before I report to our Chief." Hovel declares.

While Mister Duce agrees, Vice-captain Dreyes tense up upon hearing the dwarves' chieftain impending involvement. The city of Esmeron has been on friendly term with the chieftain and it is proven by the establishment of the mining town. It is the only direct route from Esmeron to Kiln Mountain. Another cause for concern is that this all happens inside the elves' village during a time they open their doors to outsiders. Vice-captain Dreyes face turns dark whilst thinking of thoroughly investigating the related parties and their involvements with undeniable evidence then crush them to the ground.
