Kumi was now preparing for the party once he was done, Ron accompanied him to the carriage but he was in a different carriage from his family, which he didn't mind. He sat but his family didn't wait for him and were now much further from him. This made the coachman speed up and made Kumi's ride uncomfortable.
When they arrived, Kumi did not show his irritation on his face, but Ron could sense it.
They were greeted and surrounded except for Kumji who was ignored and sometimes ridiculed. He left to be alone but of course, Ron accompanied him. but once he got there the balcony was blocked by a group of kids his age, the second son of the duke noticed him and out of curiosity he moved towards him, and Kumi could do nothing but stand there.
Once the other got close enough Kumi had to introduce himself first since they hold less power, "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance I'm Kumi Aroeris Larmatillon,"
"Likewise, I'm Ashrith Dhruva Vidras second son of Duke Vidras," He said with a smile
"What does sir Ashrith come to me for?" He said with a fake smile.
"I saw you coming here but stopped so I thought you didn't want to be around many people so I came to you.
"I see," He said still with a fake smile but with a hint of amusement.
"Would you like a cup of juice?" Ashrith said breaking the awkward silence
"I would like some" Kumi grabbed the juice but before he could fully retrieve it he was pushed from behind, the juice spilled on the other boys' clothes, this made Kumi go cold but didn't know why
The duke saw this and got closer and glared at Kumi, Kumi now had a terrified expression [oh, this is fear but not mine it's the real Kumi's fear, he's still here]
Both Ron and Ashrith saw this and had different thoughts, Ron, [Why is he scared, is he actually traumatized from the other times but hid it?] Ashrith: [Why is he sacred?]
Kumi quickly noticed his pale face and changed it to something expressionless,
"I'm very sorry for this, we will compensate for this and punish this foolish boy," the Duke said without bowing his head
"it's alright it's nothing serious," Ashrith said with a smile
The duke only smiled and excused himself.
They were now outside and the duke whispered something to guard that accompanied them before he glared one last time and left,
"Please get in the carriage," The guard said with no formality but Kumi could see the man's pity towards him.
Ron got in the carriage as well, they rode in silence for a while before Kumi broke the silence,
"I'm going to get punished and it's probably going to take more time than the other times," Kumi said
"Yes?" Ron responded
"In case you can't contact me listen to what I'm about to say," For the rest of the carriage ride Kumi explained to Ron what had to do.
The carriage stopped and they both got out but to their surprise, it wasn't in the mansion where the normal torture was taken place.
The guard suddenly grabbed Kumi's arm proceeded to put a collar on Kumi's neck which he was confused about.
Ron was also taken by surprise and they both questioned the guard which didn't respond. He was taken to a cave and was shut in it.
He no longer knew what was going outside and could see nothing inside, it was pitch black, he tried to use his magic for light but instead, it was replaced with pain as if he was hit by thunder.
He fell on the ground because of the pain, [The collar is to stop me from using magic, but how did they know? was this just for precaution?]
"Takashi!!" A loud scream disturbed his thoughts, [What? That's my name, from my past life]
"Kumi?" He said questionably as this was a very strong possibility
"Finally I got through you," The voice said
"What do you mean?"
"I've been trying to reach you but I wasn't able to"
"Then are you Kumi?"
"Yes, I am"

Takashi sighed and relaxed, "Can you explain how you know my name and everything else you know?"
"Yes, I can, first of all, I can see your memories, every single one of them, this is also one of the reasons I didn't reach to you sooner since I was too engrossed in it, there was one part I couldn't see no matter how hard I tried since you didn't know I was here I was able to see everything but I couldn't see your childhood in your first life, as you hid it from yourself self too, anyway,"
"I feel like your skipping something major but okay"
"Like I was saying once you started to notice my existence or at least speculated some of your memories were being blocked and now that you know this I can no longer see anything unless you give me access. Secondly, I kinda knew my future because of a revelation and summoned you here, I didn't know I would actually succeed it was just my wishful thinking that it may work, but I didn't choose you, it was random, third I influenced you because of my own motions, lastly, you having different powers than me is because you also influenced my body or you could say your body now since I no longer want it,"
"We still have so many unanswered questions," Takashi said
"Maybe the gods took pity on us both, or not," Kumi said
"Why don't you want your body back?"
"I saw the novel you read about me, I really am pitiful, I don't want to go through that because I know I am incompetent, so Takashi could you take my place and make my fate a different ending" Kumi said in a sad tone,
Takashi noticed this, "I already planned to,"
Kumi giggled "I'm glad and I'm sorry for the pain you've been through in my stead"
"Speaking about this I think I did pretty well for my first torture when I got here," Takashi said playfully
He stayed where he was for who knows many weeks,
As he wandered around the dungeon or cave? he was not sure, he felt the temperature getting colder, he didn't waste time and searched for something useful, but the more he went deeper into the cave, the colder it got.
A few hours later his body began to freeze but only some parts to keep his mind off his freezing self he conversed with Kumi and Kumi kept apologizing, he was given 2 meals every other day.
