When Kumi woke up he was being taken care of by Ron.
"Who was it that saved me?" Kumi asked in a groggy voice.
Ron turned around to see Kumi now awake but looking very pale and weak.
"Prince Aiden saved you" Ron answered handing him water.
"...Is he okay?"
"When you were found he was injured but nothing major" It was a lie, Aiden fought the remaining demons which were still many of them alone and got seriously injured but he only did first aid and no longer cared for his injury but he had told Ron too say it was nothing major.
"Where is he?"
"Yes, while you asleep we received information of rebellion in the Kingdom of Neplos. Prince Aiden was ordered back home he left a few hours ago." Ron said.
"I see" After a moment of silence he continued. "Do you know what happened to me?"
"I did some research and found that people with light magic experience this, it is some sort of allergic reaction to demons, it only happens when they first meet demons. The reaction varies on how strong the first demon you meet is but since you met a hoard of them the reaction was such stronger. This happens to light magic users so that they would be more resistant to demons later on and be immune to them to some degree."
His was not light magic, but Ron was not aware of that, the hoard of demons covered up the fact that he had holy element and meeting those hoard of demons caused a more extreme reaction, but he wonders how he is even still alive.
He feels a little disappointed that Aiden left but it was inevitable.
"Prince Aiden left a letter" Ron said taking out a well made letter.
Kumi took it off of his hands in a fast yet calm manner. He opened the letter carefully.
It only had a few words saying that he had to go back to his kingdom for personal matter and hopes that they would meet again.
"I hope we will meet again" was written in the letter in beautiful writing, even Ron himself thinks it is the best writing he has ever seen.
Kumi traced those exact words the blood on his wrist was pulsing and gouged themselves out imitating the words and writing of Aiden, until they meet again he will not remove it.
Ron was alarmed by the sudden blood on Kumi's wrist but as he was about reach out Kumi took back his hand and said it was fine and it was intentional, he did not know what was written on it.
'Aren't you going a bit too far?' Kumi in his head said.
He dismissed Ron and then said, "What do you know?"
'Quite a few things'
"Whatever"
'But I am curious why is it that you are doing this?'
"To not forget, so that we will meet once more... but who knows if it will actually happen so it is better to have this as a memory"
Kumi still had the after effects of his demon "allergy" so he rested for a few days.
A few years passed and he is now 16 years old.
Things have been increasingly more difficult for him at school like today for example.
Each year the school does this activities by classrooms where they choose what kind of event they want to show, his class chose to do a play.
Everyone choose a role and those behind the scenes, Kumi was nominated to be the female maid that does a dangerous stunt so they wanted a man to do it and since they wanted to humiliate him he was chosen and since the male leads are all standing strongly behind Amba and are secretly adding pressure on him.
Everyone knew of this and have been taking advantage of it, as someone with "light" element they can't do much to him but he gets bullied by the other nobles in other ways such as giving dangerous missions that Amba should have Done.
Ashrith and Dilemma who are close to him are being alienated from noble society which is why he distanced himself from them.
He told them about it but they refused to comply therefore he outright ignores them when there are people around, Kumi can handle everything they do because he has nothing to lose and after they tried to forcefully talk to him he took them to an isolated area and made it clear to them that they have more things other than loyalty to care for.
They had families that can be affected because of their close relationships, they had lowered their heads because they understood, they always did but choose to ignore it.
Kumi had always been alone, shouldering a lot of things yet all they would do is bring more worry to him. They are nothing but two friends to Kumi, and because they are only two of them they can't be of much help.
From then on to compensate they would meet each other outside of school as much as possible.
Since a year ago Alima and Ashrith started dating. It was unexpected yet expected.
Alima was the one who confessed since Ashrith was the one oblivious to his own feelings.
Alima had grown to be a very capable individual with a poisonous tongue, she could disrespect someone without them even knowing and even insult them right into their faces and they would know it yet not sure if that was what she actually meant.
Ashrith who was never good at superficial talk only thought that Alima was good at talking and Alima is keeping it that way.
He stood in his room alone and revised his script. It was nothing special the dangerous stunt they talked about was getting kicked in the face, he guessed that they would literally do just that.
His role is short and will end in the middle of the play.
Ashrith was not an actor so he was in charge of making sure all the costumes are made.
Ashrith came with a girl to take his measurements and they acted like they had nothing to do with each other, Ashrith as he had said was not good at acting but after a few years of practice this is the only thing he is good at when acting.
