Chapter 22

Aiden was shocked to say the least he had always thought Kumi was male, but come to think of it his name sounds like a girl's name.

Is this why he always wears covering clothing? Is that why he goes directly to bed and covers himself every time he finishes his bath?

He voiced out his thoughts, "Are you a girl?"

"What?" Kumi was speechless but then realized the misunderstanding "Ah, no that's not it...I'm not a girl"

Then Aiden looked at him doubtfully, Kumi noticed this and sighed, 'Is it that hard to believe?'

"I drank a potion that changes my gender temporarily"

"What? Is there really such a potion I've never heard of one"

Kumi was also surprised when he found out that the place he frequently goes is spacial as it has many inexistent potions so he gets why Aiden is surprised. "If you don't believe me we can wait here until he potion wears off,"

"Alright, then come with me" Aiden said. They walked to a new room.

"This is the room I'm using today so don't worry about getting caught"

"Okay," Kumi said as he obediently sat in front of Aiden.

After a few minutes he became fidgety as it was awkward being stared at for a long time, "Um..." Kumi muttered something inaudible.

"Yes?"

"Could I barrow some of your clothes?" He asked shyly and quickly added, "It's uncomfortable wearing a skirt" Although the skirt was long as someone who has worn a skirt for the first time it's bound to have its discomforts.

No one could tell what Aiden was thinking but he had an unmasked smile on his face as he said, "Sure"

After he changed the clothes were slightly bigger for him but it wasn't a problem at least it was comfortable. As he had a more large and less tight shirt on his chest wasn't visible. If he were really a girl he wouldn't have a big chest for sure.

As a few hours passed by the potion begins to wear off, his long hair reverts to it's former short style, his chest which wasn't big to begin with got even more flattened as it was his original from.

Aiden who saw the change wasn't much surprised and only looked at his change with calm eyes, nothing can be normal with Kumi around.

During his transformation his scars retuned so his original rolled up sleeve and pant sleeve were pulled down in a rapid manner.

Aiden who was always looking at him was too focused on the major changes missed seeing what he was trying to hide be he knew he was insecure about something but what was it? Even though he wanted to know and comfort him if he wouldn't tell him he won't force him to say it or look into it. "Are you staying here? You're free to sleep with me"

"?" 'I guess I didn't arrange an exit plan, how careless of me' Kumi thought, "If you don't mind then I'll accept your offer."

They both went to bed and Aiden tucked him well, Kumi turned his back on Aiden while Aiden was staring at his back having a helpless sigh.

Aiden ruffled Kumi's hair and said, "Goodnight Kumi" 'his hair is soft' he thought as he was closed his eyes.

"Goodnight" Kumi said with a calm voice but despite his calm voice his face and neck blushed red but Aiden who already closed his eyes wasn't able to see the reddened neck.

The next day

Aiden had woken up before Kumi, he took a bath and ordered one of the maids to get two servings of breakfast, the maid didn't question his order and did as she was told.

Kumi was awakened by the smell of food, Aiden who saw him wake up walked next to him rifling his hair while saying, "Good morning, did you sleep well?" Aiden who has finally got a good touch at his hair couldn't help but want to touch it endlessly.

"Hum?" Kumi responded sleepily.

"Go wash up and then we'll eat breakfast" Aiden said gently

Kumi who was still sleepy did as he was told without question but as he got into the water he woke up realizing how much he let his guard down.

After taking a bath he went to sit next to Kumi with his hair dripping water, Aiden who saw this combined his fire and wind element releasing a warm breeze directing at his hair drying it quickly. Kumi looked at him with a small smile he said, "Thank you"

Aiden gave a gentle smile at him, "Let's eat"

After they finished their breakfast they made a plan on how to sneak Kumi out of the palace.

He dressed up as a normal servant helping Aiden go to the carriage then sneaky went in and safely went out. "Are you going back to the academy?" Aiden asked

"No, I still have things to take care of,"

Although Aiden wanted to know what it was and if he could help but decided not to, if he did ask he would most likely be rejected.

They knew someone broke in and stole some documents but they found no evidence much less a clue on what and who it was.

Arriving at the mansion Ethan gave him a smile and said, "We made a name for ourselves would you like to hear?"

"Say it"

"The false oracles"

Kumi stopped walking and asked curiously, "Why that name?"

"Since we have taken many missions from guilds and made quite an impact people think we would do great things, quite funny right?"

"Funny and fitting" He said smiling slightly. 'There are many false things about this team and the so called main character who shouldn't even be one would be forgotten and erased from existence soon enough'

"Here, read this and prepare if necessary, the royals have their eyes on us."

"I'll prepare and look into it immediately"
