Let's backtrack to a few minutes ago
Kumi was walking after classes were over as it was time for lunch.
As he was walking two noble boys blocked his path enabling him to pass through or to the sides, so he stopped, looked at the boys, and asked, "What may I help you with?" Kumi asked his eyes containing weariness.
One of the boys came and grabbed his arm forcibly making the few textbooks he had dropped to the ground whilst he was dragged away and the one dragging him away did not care for his wellbeing as they walked fast making Kumi stumble while possession made it even harder to follow, the boy who had grabbed his arm made sure he used more strength than needed to make Kumi feel intimidated.
He was pushed to a wall and met 3 more boys standing in front of him.
Back to the present
He had asked w they needed him but no one answered him they just cursed at him while trying to make themselves look intimidating by pushing Kumi aggressively.
At some point, they started to beat him up still not having an answer as to why the Kumi inside started to feel hopeless thinking if things were going to be as it was written,
Takashi who felt this felt weak feeling as if he had no strength or will to fight back, quickly got off his trance knowing that those were not his emotions,
They kept punching him and kicking while adding insults making Kumi feel smaller and smaller as if he was a nobody.
After their "brief" beating they went away giving him awarning, "Better not go in the sight of your sister, ever"
'Ah, I should've known' he thought' he thought.
Then sudden overwhelming emotions took over him it wasn't his but Kumi's who felt sad and dejected.
He didn't know how to comfort someone but from his experience, his brother would hug him and would tell words of comfort like 'It's okay,' 'It'll be fine' and such but the real issue was that both shared the same body so how could he comfort him.
He hugged himself no matter how weird it would seem to others if they passed by which was unlikely that was not important at the moment and he spoke in almost a whisper the words his brother would say to him. He buried his head in his knees closing his eyes and repeating the words of comfort.
Ashrit's POV
My class took longer than expected so I'm running late to meet up with Kumi as we agreed on the night before.
We decided that we would meet each other halfway to the cafeteria, but maybe since I'm late he would have gone ahead...
I'll still go check just to be sure.
But when I got there he wasn't there, he could have gone to the cafeteria but he doesn't go there often
'Where is he?' I thought as I already checked the cafeteria and asked some students if they have seen him but they all said they didn't, I checked other possible places but he wasn't there.
I began to worry if his sister has already taken action. It seemed my anxiousness was evident in my face as Prince Aiden came forward and asked if I needed help.
I knew that Kumi and him had a good impression of each other and the second person in this Academy to be close to Kumi excluding his servants so he didn't hesitate to tell him.
After explaining the situation to him, the prince had a worried expression and at that moment, just for a few seconds he wondered how close were they and how did they meet.
Both of them were thinking of places that were secluded and then the prince said, "The library in the west, almost no one goes or even passes by," After he said that both ran towards that direction.
After searching around they saw a group of boys coming out of a corner and became suspicious of them, they went towards the direction they left and stopped in their tracks.
Both saw the same scene of Kumi hugging his knees as his face was buried in them, as they heard soft whispers that both couldn't hear.
Kumi who noticed people near him got up and looked their way, he had not expected to see one of the people there, although he was a little bit surprised to see Ashrith, he was more surprised to see Aiden.
Both came near him and he flinched realizing what he had looked like but it was too late to try to fix his wounds. "Shit" he murmured ruffling his hair. "Sorry I was late" He said, he couldn't think of anything else to say other than that.
"Forget that, are you okay?"
"I'm fine" He said as he glanced at Aiden who was maybe looking at him but more so all his wounds and all he wanted to do was hide himself, Aiden's stare where really intense and maybe a little pierce in anger.
"Let's get your wounds treated," Aiden said finally turning his gaze away.
He didn't notice it earlier but they really did damage his collarbone as well as one of his legs, but the leg isn't that important. His right arm was going numb, he should treat it now before anything else.
But before he could do that Ashrith put his hand o his shoulder and said, "Was it her?"
He didn't care for the question he asked but on the and that was on his right shoulder. He moved Ashriith's hand away and immediately treated his wounds. There was no need to hide it from Aiden. But he left a few bruises.
"What did you ask?"
Ashrith sighed and repeated his question. "Ah, yes it was her"
Aiden who was walking beside them wanted to know who this "her" was but he can't just ask afterall he is someone that isn't part of this.
All he knew was that his anger was directed at this girl who hurt Kumi.__________________________________
