Chapter 20

~Carter's POV~
Today is Callie's 18th birthday. It's a big one and I want to do something really special.

"Matt... what should I do for Callie?" I asked Matt.

"Throw her a party... she's 18... Don't 18 year old girls like to party?" Matt suggested. That's really not a bad idea...

"Ok! I'm throwing Callie a surprise party!" I exclaimed. Matt clapped. I texted all of her friends... And my friends... And people from school and told them that we were having a party in my backyard. My parents aren't home.

(That night)

"Happy birthday Baby girl..." I said to Callie. I told her that I was taking her out... but we had to stop at my house first. She looked really... really... nice.

"Aw... thanks Cartah!" She yelled. Then she kissed me.

"Are you ready?" I asked her. She nodded, I grabbed her hand and walked to my house. We like walking.

I walked her up the steps and opened the door... then I closed it so she couldn't come in.

"Carter!! Let me in!" She yelled. I cracked the door, a few second later she walked in.

"Carter... Wher-"

"SURPRISE!!!!!" We all yelled. She screamed.

"Aw, you guys!!" She yelled. She walked over to me and out her arms around my neck, "Did you do this?" She asked.

"Yep!" I exclaimed, she kissed me, then everyone started clapping. Haha very funny.

(Later)

~ Ariel's POV~
Carter knows how to throw a party! This is really fun! Taylor and I are dancing... we have been making out most of the time and we wanted to see what everyone else is doing.

Callie and Carter are slow dancing, Matt and Kalli fell asleep on the couch, Kayla and Nash are talking to people, and Kat and Cameron are... well... they disappeared. Earlier they both looked drunk... but Carter told me he didn't have any alcohol here... I hope their ok.

"Taylor... Where are Kat and Cam?" I asked.

"I dunno..." He shrugged.

"Do you think their ok?" I asked worried.

"Ya... there adults... they can handle themselves." He told me, that made me feel better... kinda.

We started dancing again. I love dancing with him. I can't wait for prom... I already have my dress picked out. I hope Tay asks me soon.

~Callie's POV~
Carter's so sweet. I can't believe that he threw me a surprise party. He knows me so well, I don't like drinking... and Carter didn't bring any alcohol to this party. I need to thank him later cause that must hurt his reputation.

"Hey babe?" Carter asked.

"Ya..." I answered.

"I'm getting tired of dancing... do you want to go sit down?" He asked.

"Sure... my feet are starting to hurt."

We found a place to sit. It's really late and people are leaving.

"Callie... did I ever tell you that you looked really beautiful tonight?" Carter asked.

"Yes, like three times." I laughed, he grabbed my face... um...

"Well you are..." he whispered. "Ya?" I asked.

"Ya." He said very softly... then he kissed me, soon we started making out, this was our first time to make out...

He pulled away, and in this moment I realized that I really and truly love Carter Reynolds.
