Chapter 31

~Kayla's POV~
Nash and I are going to the mall today. I'm really excited because I haven't seen him in a long time.

I decided to wear a baby blue crop top and white shorts with my new chacos. I did my hair and put on my make up.

I heard the door bell so I ran down stairs and jumped into Nash's arms.
I kissed him and he didn't kiss back.

"Nash, what's wrong?" I asked him... he can't break up with me.

"Um, Kayla... I need to ta you something." He mumbled scratching the back of his neck.

"Nash..." I whispered.

"Ok... so I um... got a scholarship to a really good privet high school. And I have accepted," he started.

"Oh, that's fine... I mean we can still date even if we're not at the same school." I tell him, and he gets a hurt expression on his face. Crap.

"But, uh, the school is in California..." he sighed. And I broke.

Quiet sobs erupted out of me. He is going to break up with me.

He moves closer to me and whispers, "please don't cry..." I just shake my head.

"I can't lose you Nash." I told him.

"And I don't want to lose you either Kayla... but I think that it would be... best if-" I cut him off.

"Nash, I know that your about to break up with me... but just know that we can work something out. We're meant to be together." I cried. He slowly nodded.

"I leave Saturday... call me tonight... I need to pack." he sighed walking out of my house.

I sat on my couch and cried. I will not lose him. I won't.

~Kats POV~
I was leaning over the toilet throwing up. I missed my period. I- I think I'm pregnant.

I began to cry. I'm only 18... I'm not ready for a child.

I grabbed a pregnancy test and walked out the door. I can't do this alone.

I silently drove to Kaylas house. I don't know why I chose to go there... I guess it's just that she will be the most understanding...

I arrived Kaylas house and it looked like she was alone. Good.

I walked through the door and saw Kayla on the couch.

"Kayla... I think I'm-" I stopped. Kayla was crying.

I ran over to her and asked what was wrong. She told me about Nash moving and how she couldn't lose him.

"Kat... I'm going to miss him so much..." Kayla sobbed. I stroked her hair.

"Kayla... I need to tell you something..." I started. She looked at me with bright eyes.

"I'm going to move to California!!" Kayla yells. But before it clicks I blurt out, "I think I'm pregnant!"

We both stare at each other in shock.
