23. The Fortune Cave

At this moment, 3 out of 6 of the moons have been found:

The 3 friends teleported to the area of the Fortune Cave to find Maggie, Rita, and Tina. "Where's Lune?" Erin questioned. "Remember, she watches over us," reminded Ella. "And she appears when we find another moon." "Oh yeah, I forgot," replied Erin. The Fortune Cave was located in a dull, grey, rocky habitat. Only animals could survive there more than anything else. Then, Ella could hear something, a familiar voice. "Shhh," she said quietly. "Listen." Erin and Sheila stopped talking and listened. "Come on, Rita! We've been searching for ages now!" the voice said. "Did they just say 'Rita'?" Sheila asked. Out walked Maggie, Rita & Tina, looking tired, then spotting the others. "Ella! Erin! Sheila! You're safe!" Maggie exclaimed. "Did you have luck finding any moons?" asked Tina. "Yup," Erin replied. "We found the fire moon and the flower moon." "We've been searching for probably about an hour and we still haven't found one yet!" Rita explained. "But I will!" a darkened voice came. Suddenly, black mist formed and out appeared Queen O'feara. "O'feara!" the 6 girls cried. "So you sneaky six, we meet again," purred O'feara. "You may have 3 moons, but I'll get the 4th one!"

"How do you know that?" asked Tina. "My my, Child," O'feara cackled. "You always forget I have future-reading powers in my head. Now, I am much stronger than my sidekicks, so it'll be a tougher match!" "We've beaten you before, but with our moons, it'll be easier to beat you!" Ella exclaimed. "Sheila, Erin, are you ready?" "Yes!" both Erin & Sheila replied. "Transformation!" the 3 girls called out. After they transformed, Ella said, "We are the Crystal Moon guardians of Crystilville!" "We protect the kingdom of jewels and secrets," Erin said after. "And protect it from harm and danger!" added Sheila. "In the name of Crystilville, we'll stop you from causing mayhem!" all 3 said together, in unison. "Demons, rise!" ordered O'feara. Black mist surrounded the area and hundreds of small, red human-like creatures with horns & tails rose up. "Attack those fairies and bring me the moons!" the queen commanded. The demon-akuyas ran towards Ella, Erin & Sheila. "I have a plan!" Ella called. "Erin, you take 1 half of the demons and Sheila you take the other, I'll face O'feara and you, Maggie, Rita & Tina, get the 4th moon!" "On it!" the 5 girls replied. Sheila and Erin ran towards the demons and Maggie, Rita and Tina went to find the 4th moon.

Meanwhile, Ella ran another direction, and was then stopped by Queen O'feara. The 2 stood their distance opposite each other. "So young Ella, you're going to fight me?" she grinned. "How sweet. Challenged accepted!" With that, she formed a powerful blast of magic and shot it directly at Ella. "Snowflake Frame!" Ella yelled. A shield of ice shaped like a snowflake formed on the side of Ella's arm, protecting her from the beam. Meanwhile, havoc was spreading with Erin and Sheila. "There's too many of them!" cried Sheila. "Don't worry, just use an attack with style!" replied Erin. She then called out, "Flamethrower!", and then spun around, smacking the demons with the beam of fire. "Ok," Sheila said, then calling out, "Daisy Chain!" A giant chain of daisies formed in Sheila's hand, which she flogged the demons with, wiping them out. "Nice work!" Erin exclaimed, high-5-ing Sheila. Back with the other 3 girls, Maggie, Rita & Tina were searching for the cave. "I can see it!" cried Tina. "So can I!" Maggie added. "Yeah yeah, we see it, now who's going in?" Rita said in a dull tone. "The book on Crystilville said that very sensitive and dangerous creatures live here," explained Tina. "So someone who can interact with animals should go in." "I'll go," Maggie exclaimed. "My powers don't just work with talking to dragons, but to talk to any animal too." "Then we have our retriever," Rita said. "Good luck." And with that, Maggie stepped into the cave to retrieve the 4th crystal moon...
