As I did with happy endings last week, tonight I'm posting my tweets from the #Wattpad4 chat on adventure stories from Twitter.
~Let's continue that discussion here in the comments.~
Adventures, like vacations, don't always go as planned.
I want to feel breathless at the end of the adventure. I want to be a part of it. I want to wonder if I'm going to make it.
Your novel needs to be planned, but to the reader the adventure part should seem spontaneous.
Imagine you're the character. What's the worst thing you don't want to happen on the adventure? You better add that in.
What's your favorite life and death situation you have read?
