You've given your thoughts on outlining and I've tried that but even if I sit down and make one, when it comes down to actually writing my brain seems to throw a million ideas that in the end I make no progress. How can I really make myself stick to an outline while incorporating new ideas. ~~aphrodite_123
There was a major glitch with this chapter. It deleted most of my words after I posted it.
Reading your question, you seem more like a Pantser. That probably sounds really strange if you aren't familiar with what that is. It's a writer who likes to write by the seat of their pants. If you haven't tried to just write a story without outlining, maybe try that.
Your new ideas and outline seem to be at war with each other. I'd suggest picking your favorite new ideas, stop writing, add them to your outline and rearrange it as needed.
Also, even if you know a certain idea won't work, follow it. It may lead you to a new idea that will help to progress the story.
I hope this helped you, and I wish you luck!
