*Clary's P.O.V.*

I woke up one morning with a jolt. Jace was still soundly asleep next to me. I quietly got out of bed and went to Chris's nursery. I went to get him out of his crib, but to my horror, he wasn't there. I started to panic when out of the corner of my eye I saw a note. It said:

Your baby is fine but make one wrong move and you, your husband, and the child die. -SV

"Jace!" I yelled, horrified by the scene in front of me.
"What?" He said, rushing into the room.
"Chris is gone. Somebody took him," I started to cry.
"What! When did this happen?" He took me into his arms and let a few tears fall down his cheeks.
"I don't know for sure. I woke up this morning and came to check on him and that's when I realized he was gone. I did find this though." I handed the note to him.
He skimmed it over and looked at me.
"SV? Who's that?"
"If I knew who it was, we would've been after him/her already. I want my son back." I sat with my back against Chris's crib.
"I miss him so much," I started to cry again.
"I know, baby. I miss him too. We'll find him, I promise." He pulled me against his chest and let me cry.
Suddenly, I had an idea.
"Jace, why don't we see if Magnus can use the finger prints on the note to perform a tracking spell and see if we can find this SV person."
"Clary, that's brilliant!" He pulls me up and puts the note in his pocket.
We head out to the living room to announce our news to everyone.
"Guys, there's something Jace and I need to tell you," I was trying not to cry.
"What?" Izzy asks.
"Chris is... missing. Someone took him last night." I mumbled the last part.
"What? My godson is missing?!" Magnus leaped out of his chair and came to my side.
"Magnus, whoever took him left a note in the crib. We were wondering if you could do some kind of tracking spell to see if we could find where our son is." Jace explained, handing the note to Magnus.
"Of course! I can't guarantee that it will work but I'm going to try."
While Magnus is working the spell, I lay my head on Jace's shoulder.
"Clary? What's wrong?" He asked quietly.
"I think I'm going to be sick.." I gasped and ran to the bathroom.
While I was spilling my guts, Jace held my hair out of my face and rubbed my back waiting for me to finish.
I finished about 5 minutes later and sat up.
"You okay?" He looked at me worriedly
"Yeah. I'm fine," I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror. I could tell something was different, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Then, I felt a little nudge in my stomach.
"Jace," I said quietly.
"What?" He looked confused.
"I think I'm pregnant," I whispered. I wasn't sure if he heard me.
"Clary... this is wonderful!" He grabbed me and spun me in a circle.
"Jace... stop... gonna puke.." I panted.
"Right. Sorry," he smiled sheepishly and set me down.
I grabbed his hand and walked back into the living room.
"Any luck on the spell Magnus?" I ask.
"Kind off. I'll see something on the map for a few seconds and then it disappears." he looked down sadly.
"Does this mean that we'll never get Chris back?" Jace's voice quavered.
"I'm not sure yet. I can't perform a tracking spell strong enough to find him, but I'm sure the Silent Brothers can. If you want to go see them, we ought to do it now." Magnus looked at us and waited for our approval.
"Let's go." Jace and I walked to the door.

*Jace's P.O.V.*

I was trying really hard not to cry as Magnus, Clary and I made our way to the Silent City.
"Jace? Are you okay?" Clary asked.
"Yeah. I'm okay. I'm just still in shock." I wiped my eyes and smiled weakly at her.
"I am too." she squeezed my hand.
"We're here!" Magnus called back to us.
We were met by Brother Zachariah at the gate.
How can I help you? His voice boomed in my head.
Clary took a deep breath and said:
"We need your help. Somebody kidnapped my son last night. He left a note and we've been trying to find out where he is. Magnus tried to do a tracking spell but it wasn't strong enough. Can you help us?"
Let me see the note. We might be able to help. I handed him the note. He studied it and said:
SV. I know those initials.
"What do they stand for?" I asked.
Sebastian Verlac
"Who?" Clary asked.
"He keeps himself in another dimension so he cannot be tracked." Magnus said quietly.
"So we can't get Chris back unless he comes to us?" I asked, already expecting the worst.
"Yes," Magnus nodded. "I'm sorry, you guys."
"Thank you, Brother Zachariah," I said before turning to leave.
We got home and Izzy fired questions at us.
"Well? Any luck?"
"No. Whoever has their son is in another dimension and can't be tracked. The only way that they'll get Chris back is if the person who has him comes to us." Magnus explains sadly.
"I'm so sorry, guys." Izzy hugged us.

*Clary's P.O.V.*

I pulled away from Izzy and walked to my room. Thinking about that possibility made me want to cry. I must've fallen asleep because the next thing I know, I was being jolted awake.
"Jace?" I grumbled.
"No." the voice said.
"Who are you?" I asked, feeling wide awake.
"Sebastian. I've brought your son back. He's no use to me."
It took me a minute to process what he was saying. But then I finally got it.
"Chris!" I held my arms out for him. Sebastian handed him back to me.
"Oh, baby, I've missed you so much!" I kissed his forehead and hugged him.
"Why did you take him?" I finally asked.
"I just want you to know that I meant no harm, I was just curious." He explained and smiled at me.
"Oh. Well, thank you." i hesitantly smiled back.
"I should get going now. Your husband will be home soon." He left just as quickly as he'd come.
"Momma?" Chris mumbled.
"I'm here baby. I'll never let anything happen to you, okay? I love you so much."
"I love you too, mommy," Chris yawned and laid his head on my shoulder.
Jace opened the door and walked inside. I was grateful that it was till dark.
"Clary?" He asked.
"I'm awake," I smiled in the dark.
"Is it okay for me to turn the light on?" He asked.
"Yeah."
He flipped the switch and I waited for him to process the scene in front of him.
"Clary? Is... that...?" He stuttered and pointed at Chris.
"Yep." I smiled like an idiot.
"Chris!" Jace ran up next to me and held his arms out. Chris reached out of my grasp and into Jace's.
"Daddy!" He yelled.
"Oh Chris. I missed you so much. Clary? When did you get him back?" Jace looked at me.
"A few minutes ago, actually. Sebastian brought him back to me." I explained.
"Really?"
"Yeah." I felt the baby kick as I talked.
"Jace... the baby's kicking." I smiled.
"What?" Chris asked, looking confused.
"You're going to have a little sister soon," I told him.
"Really?" He asked, getting excited.
"Yeah is that okay with you?" Jace asked.
"Yeah!!" He screamed.
"Good. I love you." I laid my head on Jace's shoulder and fell asleep. I was glad that my family was whole again.

Authors note/possible spoiler! I know that Sebastian dies in CoHF but I only brought him back for the purpose of his character in this chapter. He won't make anymore appearances in the story, I promise. And woo! Another chapter! It's all thanks to my cousin Sarah for the story idea. So thank you and I hope you enjoy!! <3
