Authors Note: I am so sorry for the lack of updates! I've been really busy over the holidays so I hope this makes up for it. I apologize that this chapter will be so short but it is cute and was a lot of fun to write. Thanks for being patient with me! :)

*Jace's P.O.V*

Today was the day Clary and I were able to go home. We were getting everything ready when someone knocked on the door.
"Come in!" I yelled
In came Jocelyn and Isabelle.
"Hey cutie," Izzy said, taking Chris from me. He giggled and grabbed her finger.
"You guys ready to go?" Jocelyn asked.
"You have no idea! It will feel so good to sleep in my own bed!" Clary mumbled.
I laughed and opened the door. We got home 30 minutes later and were greeted by Alec and Magnus.
"You're home! I want to hold the baby!" Magnus rushed over to Clary and took Chris.
"I didn't think you even liked kids, Magnus," Clary looked at him.
"I do! Somewhat. They're cute now but they are a pain when they're older. Have fun!"
All of a sudden, the baby started crying. I walked over, prepared to take Chris from Magnus but he shooed me away and slowly rocked his arms back and forth.
"It's okay, baby," Magnus cooed.
"Magnus, let me have the baby. It's time for him to eat." Clary held out her arms and Magnus reluctantly gave him back.
"You can hold him again when I'm done," Clary promised him.
"Yay!" I laughed at his excitement.
I walked over to the couch and sat down next to Clary.
"You look tired, honey."
"I'm exhausted." she said, resting her head on my shoulder and closing her eyes. When Chris was done eating, Clary gave him back to Magnus as promised.

Jace pulled me onto his lap and said, "I love you, Clary,"
"I love you too."
I had just fallen asleep when the doorbell rang.
"Who's here?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"It's my mom," Jace said and repositioned the baby in his arms. He got up and went to open the door.
"Hey, mom," he hugged her with his free arm.
"Jace! Oh honey, I've missed you so much! How have you been?" Maryse forcefully returned the hug.
"Careful, mom. Don't suffocate the baby," he pointed to Chris.
"Oh my gosh! I didn't even see him! Who is the little cutie?"
"My son. His name is Chris," he smiled. Chris started to cry so Jace brought him up to his shoulder and rubbed his back, causing him to fall asleep.
"I've missed out on so much, Jace, I didn't know you had a girlfriend, let alone a child." Maryse looked at him, waiting for an explanation.
"No offense, mom, but you have a really bad memory. You've met my girlfriend, er wife, before. You even saw her when she was pregnant."
"Really? Because I don't remember. Maybe I'm just getting older." she looked shocked.
"Since you don't seem to remember, mom, this is my wife, Clary," he nodded at me.
"Hi!" I smiled.
"Wait, wife? When did you get married? Why wasn't I invited?"
"Mom, we got married while you and dad were in Idris, we would've invited you if you were here." Jace explained patiently.
"Oh. Where are Alec and Isabelle?"
"I don't know, actually," he said.
"Hmm... Can I hold him?"
"Yeah!" Jace gently handed Chris to Maryse.
"He looks just like you, Jace," she said.
"I know, it's so unreal." he smiled and watched them.
"This is so crazy that I have grandkids already. I'm out of practice." Chris started to stir and whine.
"It's okay, baby," Jace held out his arms and Maryse gave him back and followed Jace into the living room.
"Why is he crying? Is it something I did?" She asked.
"No! Not at all. He starts crying when he doesn't know who's holding him. He just doesn't know you yet. Have patted her shoulder and rocked the baby.
"Let me see him, babe. He's probably hungry."
I took Chris and went into the kitchen to get his bottle. When he was fed, he slept soundly.
"It seems like all he does is eat, sleep, and poop," Jace smiled at his own comment.
"That's about right. That's how babies are." Maryse said.
That night, Jace and I collapsed into our bed.
"This is so much better than that damn hospital room." I muttered.
"I know. Goodnight, Clary. I love you," Jace whispered.
"I love you too."
We slept like a baby that night. No pun intended.
