WITH MR PHILLIPS GONE, A NEW TEACHER ARRIVED IN AVONLEA. Rumours about the teacher spun around the Bakery but they could never had described the perfection that came with the new teacher. She was unmarried, yes but that was a small description that was much overtaken by all the other wonderful things about her. She involved her students in the lessons, meaning that everyone enjoyed the lessons and found themselves learning quicker. She was the perfect change for the schoolhouse, school didn't seem so grey anymore.

With Gilbert leaving for school earlier to get extra study time with Miss Stacy, Charlotte was left to walk alone to school. She didn't mind though, Gilbert was doing something that would better his future and it made her happier in the process, as long as he was happy. On the walk she often found herself straying from the usual path, taking detours that would often make her late to school. Those walks were full of deep thoughts where Charlotte would desperately try to figure things out, things about her life and her future. She often passed the story hut hoping to run into Cole. He stayed there during the day, working on his sculptures, as he still refused to go to school. Charlotte tried to convince him t go back a few times but soon figured out there was no point, Cole wanted to work on his future and his future was his art.

Only this time when she wandered through the forest, gazing up at the trees, she tripped over a broken pile of sculpted clay. This drew her attention from the sky to the ground, Charlotte gasped at the sight. The once magnificent story club lay on the ground in tatters. Split wood lay on the floor with belongings mixed through it. Books lay open with pages moving in the slight breeze, bottles and trinkets lay between the greenery some chipped and some broken sculptures that once decorated the ground lay smashed all over the ground. Their beautiful story pages were strewn in every direction, the paintings that she spent so long on were torn deliberately into multiple pieces and someone had the audacity to tear them all up and scatter the pieces into the wind. So much hard work, so many amazing memories were destroyed by someone who didn't care for others.

Anne and Cole had both turned up sharing the same outrage. Their conversation blurred in Charlotte's head, she was far too upset to even think straight. Tears of disappointment and outrage fell down her face but she could clearly see the green striped scarf laying amongst the rubble. Billy Andrews was responsible for this and he would have to pay.

Charlotte ran, from running to Gilberts so often she had managed to get to quiet a speed, ignoring the concerned and questioning calls from Anne and Cole. She ran with such rage that her feet stomped against the forest floor, for once she didn't care for accidentally trampling on the flowers. Cole followed behind, only catching glimpses of her wavy hair as she ran.

Charlotte reached the schoolhouse pink in the cheeks but she never stopped running. She slammed the door open, gathering the attention of all the people inside. Gilbert noticing the fury on her face quickly moved to try and stop her from doing something she regretted.

"Billy Andrews you horrible human being!" she yelled storming towards the boy, Gilbert managed to reach her just before she slapped him in the face. He wrapped an arm around her waist to restrict her movement and tried to keep her back even though she kept trying to get away. "How could you! Have you no respect for other people?" she yelled as everyone stared at her confused, she didn't care though she was too outraged. Gilbert still kept an arm clamped around her waist even though she now stood flat on the floor, the initial need to slap him still remained but it didn't seem rational anymore. "Muc tú!" she exclaimed even though she knew he would have no clue what she was saying, no one would but calling Billy Andrews a pig without his knowledge was a great form of revenge.
