MARY HAPPENED TO BE THE ONE WHO OWNED THE ROOM THE THREE WERE GOING TO SLEEP IN. They waited patiently for her to finish work then the four headed to her home in the Bog. The stench that came off Sebastian became more intense as they walked, Charlotte wondered how Mary could stand to be so close to him at this moment in time. They were shown the room, a single bed stood against one wall and a small table next to it. It wasn't much but it was better than most things that would accept Bash into their doors. Mary thankfully drew Bash a bath soon after their arrival, something which everyone in the house was very grateful for, leaving Gilbert and Charlotte alone in the room.

They talked for a while, relaxing on the bed since there wasn't anywhere else to sit. Charlotte found the twirling nerves getting worse in her stomach, sleeping in this foreign place wasn't going to be good for her nightmares. She never opened up to Gilbert about that though, she just blindly hoped that it wouldn't happen tonight so she would never have to explain. When Bash arrived back in the room the decision of who would take the bed was made, a very difficult decision. Gilbert and Bash both insisted that Charlotte take the bed but she refused, Bash had had an awful day and he deserved not to sleep on the floor. This needed little persuasion as Bash knew that nothing could change Charlotte's mind so he reluctantly took the bed leaving Gilbert and Charlotte to sleep on the floor. Mary offered them food as it got dark which they very gratefully accepted, it was one of the most delicious things that Charlotte had ever eaten (bar her Mother's own cooking of course.)

Night came and the three got ready to go to sleep, Bash lay in the bed and Gilbert and Charlotte lay wrapped up in separate blankets on the floor (it was surprisingly comfortable but after a while, Charlotte figured she would wake up with back pain.) A soft knocking on the door bought her and Gilbert out of a quiet conversation about his time in the Doctor's office.

"How are you three, not still hungry?" Mary asked, holding a candle much like the ones that rested on the table in the room in her hand. She looked as exhausted as Charlotte currently felt.

"Or fragrant, bless you for drawing him a bath," Gilbert replied with a smile, a genuine smile since everyone was very glad that the room no longer had a foul stench that seeped into their pores with every passing second.

"Yes, bless you, Mary. You're an angel," Sebastian grinned, Charlotte once again struggled to stifle her own laughter. Sebastian's attempts at flirting for some reason often had her in stitches, Mary however did not seem opposed.

"I bought your receipt," Mary spoke extending an arm with the piece of paper in it. Bash climbed out from under the covers and paid the bill, still in his stripy trousers. Mary and Bash kept eye contact the entire time, as if they willed their expressions to speak for them.

Mary tutted then took some of the folded money out from the bunch, "You gave me too much." Sebastian went on to explain that he hoped for some breakfast, in all honesty, Charlotte also hoped for breakfast as the food was that good.

"You sure you're okay in here with them?" Mary asked now looking at Charlotte as if the others didn't exist. She had offered to let her sleep in her spare bedroom downstairs but Charlotte respectfully declined, sleeping in a stranger's house alone (even if it was a nice stranger) was not a very good idea.

"Yes, I'll be fine. Thank you though," Charlotte smiled up at Mary who nodded. Sleeping on the floor with a thin blanket wasn't the best situation, it was better than nothing and she was grateful for it. Sleeping downstairs in the bed of a stranger's home seemed like a worse situation. She didn't mind sleeping next to Gilbert, they were good enough friends that it wasn't weird and both ignored how familiar and comforting it felt.
